OBC reservation is not based on caste only. Patel belonging to gujrat are never given any kind of reservation. However, those living in UP are provided such kind of facility. I am not saying that all the reservation policy is totally correct. However to survive in this nation, you have to move with certain dark aspects in order to spread more light.
I couldn't understand about the mentionality of those who are opposing the reservation.
Like you i am also against of any kind of reservation. however, you will have to reform whole society from the ill effect of caste.
Remove the caste from the entire society in all aspect including marriage. We won't be needing any kind of reservation.

Shalu...u cant understand the mentality of those who are opposing the reservation b'coz u dont have that mental level. Try to rise above ur pathetic mental level dear...think abt all poor n underprivilaged people. And there r upper cast people also who r poor n underprivilaged...y shld they suffer?just b'coz they cannot form good number vote bank?

reservation while compensation certain oppressed communities can come across as a penalty for the perpetrators. in fact people from the perpetrators communities ask why should be punished for faults they personally didn't commit. what they fail to understand is that reservation is about effecting a communal correction in indian society and individuals belonging to the perpetrator communities should accept this with grace.

Gopal Krishna....somebody tells u that ur grandfather of great grandfather once forcefully acquired a piece of land of a person. n that person's great great sons now demand that u shld b punished for the act of ur ancestor....n u shld accept that punishment with "grace". Will u accept the punishment?? tell by ur heart n soul.

look there is a difference between individual crimes and communal crimes...okay let us stay with your argument and look at it from another angle, not of the perpetrator but of the victim. doesn't the victim deserve compensation? yes i might feel bad for being penalised for something i personally didn't do, but it is only "fair" that i "share" with the victim's descendents what i have. it is better than a tit-for-tat punishment where i may have give up the entire land that has been passed on to me through unlawful acquisition.

u touched wrong wires here....Trust me, actually my girlfrnd (my wld b wife).... is an OBC. n i really love her. Though from OBC she never used a cast certificate...n is a doctor with distinction...n i m proud of her. n yes...my parents n my culture have taught me to respect people who r unbiased, who have self-esteem n who dont enjoy life of mercy.....irrespective of cast n religion. n my family n culture have taught me not to consider anyone small in any form of life. They also taught me to touch feet of elder people whom we know....from ne cast. I commented on u seeing ur comments n views. May b ur parents n culture teaches u to comment on other peoples family n culture when u r targetted n not them.neways...i told u cast of my wld b wife....now u r against reservation??

Hi Shalu, My parents never used there cast names as our surnames and most of our property was abbrogated in the name of land reforms(they participated in the campain for land reforms), but they never complained but wehre ever I have been be it for a job in a public sector or admission to college or getting sanction for any govt scheme.. the first thing I was asked was my caste..If this is the way the govt want to do away with castism then I won't mind my kids flaunting their casts..At least the people they are interacting will knoe that whatever they have achived is based on their own ability and not achived by the alms given by the current casteist regime...

Shalu..u r not even of capacity to talk with grace... I gave a comparative issue to the "attrocities from generation" arguement of most of bc/obc people given here in support of reservation. So first try to understand what one wants to say. Now ur marriage n remove casteism thing. May b u have a problem with that. B'coz my gf (wld b wife) is obc n a doctor. She never used ne reservation..which is one of the reasons i respect her. Now one suggestion...do not bring parents here....i asked u n not ur parents. So i can c wat education they gave u....(u gave me this point...i personally never judge people's parents by seeing them n vice versa). I have been taught by my parents to respect all people who have self esteem n hard working. It doesnt seem the same for u..may b u have been taught (by ur part) to b without self esteem.

they are already aprated by forming creamy layer my dear friend. However the kids of those OBCs are still forced to listen senseless comments of the whole society. I had been one of them.
