She is Pratibha, not Shalini :) What more do you expect from the politicians when the learned citizens confuse the names of their President?

You may not be aware but right now Chinese and US teams are engaged in dialogue in DC on the issue---hold your breath---co-operation in renewable alternative energy technology.......hmmm
So clean, cheap, renewable, alternative environmentally friendly energy for Chinese but costly, dangerous, dirty, uncompetitvie technology for India!
How many of you still think that India should become a pawn in US hands to 'balance' China like Pakistan is used to 'balance' India?

Very nice. Make sure you know something about the topic before commenting. Alternative energy sources are far from cheap. Projects for solar, wind, or tidal power are yet to find large scale adoption. How much power ae they generating with these alternate sources even in the US?

No! we want to get rid of the isolation from the world more than do we want to get nuclear fuel.

Rahul Bawa's new Dad: Not Boforse one but Honest one
This idiot Singh was made PM by some of the intellegent person.
Now they utilised him fully, during his tenure most of the time he is busy thinking how to save himself from everything which hes has not done, but some other done in his name. Like looting of public money worth Rs. 300000 Crore under the table, shared between Sonia & Left.
Now he is worried & want something as scapegoat & want to show it as sacrifice to make his image better e.g. nuclear deal
But Nuclear deal is better to have at our terms not at others term
I think that's the best that this guy can do. Since he knows that after the election - if UPA wins - he is going to be removed and Rahul will be installed. That would be the worst humiliation. The SARDAR knows that. And hence want to retire like this. OR IS IT SONIA - who wants him out with dignity. And this is the only choice given to him. SONIA is capable to do anything. And Commies would assist her in that fully.
The proposed nuclear deal sponsored by the Congress Party & Our Prime Minister presuming it to be the best deal in the best interest of our country, all coalition partners of UPA lead Union Govt. should support it irrespective of political differences in their ideologies that are what ethics of coalition say! RJD, DMK & NCP Chief are openly supporting this nuclear deal sponsored by the Congress -main constituent of UPA Govt.in the centre. The Left Parties who too are supporting the UPA lead Union Govt. from outside without joining Union Ministry opposing it, should come forward with their view-points as why they are against it. If left are still against nuclear deal inspire of persuasion by many Union Ministers, they are most welcome to come out with their view points as why they differ at their earliest! The sacrifice of left parties who had declined to join any birth in Union Ministry should not be overlooked rather must be viewed with reverence’s it just because of either political stunt keeping in view of ensuing Parliamentary election or personality clash or differences in ideologies or something unwarranted in this deal? We would love to have full facts from the left parties on this count to clear many misgivings in our minds.Even, the Congress leader Dig Vijay Singh had said in his T.V.interview that he is not aware as why left are opposing this nuclear deal. We are aware fully that the prestige of UPA lead Union Govt. headed by Dr. Man Mohan Singh is at stake

but it is not. Why did stalbort said that Manmohan gave us that which Atal did not. What is that? Why they are not showing the papers that they have signed to the people.

Manmohan might have given him something which is only legal in America.............. ha ha ha...
I am very happy with the stand Mr.Singh has taken. What I want to tell all our people pampered by govt subsidies that, in todays situation Petroleum fuel- Water, Nuclear energey - Roti and Nuclear bomb - Chicken curry. Now water is getting scarce and too expensive, you do not have Roti to eat. First secure and consume more Roti, use less water and conserve it. Once you have attained self sufficiency in these then go for Chicken curry. Now if you go for Chicken curry, you will not get Roti and will depend on water and it will become 1000/litle in future and ultimately you will not be left with anything. No uranium for nuclear bomb, no nuclear energy and no petrol. Think India think, you do not have any other option. You are not a china to have secured all fuel wells in the african countries, you are not a Pakistan to have backing of oil producing country, you are no a US to have... do I need to mention?

By the way I am a strong supporter of BJP for the way they made India arrive at nuclear club in style inspite of tremendous international (this word may not be sufficient to describe) pressure and opposition from allies and opposition parties. They tackled the fallout very well and economy also boomed. But mind it we should not support a party but should support the leaders who do good for the country. Plz support Manmohan.
Also, MMS did NOT do something out of ordinary. The liberalization he chose already worked in Europe, China and elsewhere.
EVEN MMS was NOT the first choice as FM by PV Narshima Rao.
When celebrated economist IG Patel declined to become FM of India, MMS was approached.
Neither MMS did leave any original mark in the field of economy. There are tons of Indian economists who are known for their contribution like Meghnad Desai, Bhgwati, Sen, Kaushik Basu etc.
RE:Thank PV for liberalization, not MMS
by Raghu K on Jun 20, 2008 09:17 AM Permalink
What you fail to understand is how radical an approach it was that MMS took in 1991. The country was deep rooted in a socialistic, red tape driven economy and opening it up for liberalization was a very bold move. It might have been something already tried in Europe but it was almost unthinkable in India. To hell with it, making huge profit from a business was considered something bad (on moral grounds) till few years back.
I agree there are other prominent economists. But its MMS who did something to save the ailing economy not others

exactly....MMS tried to resign twice in PV narsimha rao govt unable to withstand opposition tirade against liberalization....it is PV narasimha rao who pursuaded not to resign and gave protection to MMS from opposition.....it is PV narasimha rao who had inducted MMS in to cabinet when MMS is RBI governor......PV narasimha rao is an visionary....unfortunately the entire credit goes to MMS
it is right move to leave the post as a prime minister if an important deal is not presented in proper manner before the party, allies, nation and world community before signing it and its importance to nation has not been highlighted by the scientific community business houses administration academic community and unwillingness of people of india who donot feel closer to the world most powerful nation due to difference in value system and lobbies which govern both the nation are lacking in vision credibility will power administrative and political acumen and sincerity of purpose there are great leaders available to lead the nation if they are nominated by Ms Sonia Gandhi the U.P.A chairperson with all qualities to manage the transformation of economy with young generation as supporters and grace of mother india to direct the nation as director shrine consultancy services
