The most stupid and insensitive parents.
Belief in God is the last thing on their mind or perhaps not there at all.
This is an extreme example of disintegration of human society.
Will they kill their parents when they develop a heart ailment....seems like.

Aborting is always MURDER.

i guess aborting is the most sensible act since if the child is born with such problem, image the pain that infant will go thru.. that would be a pain to both parents and the baby. aborting, they would relieve the pain the baby would suffer. and since the baby is not born, the parents will not have much of pain aborting but once its born the parents will be emotionally attached and the pain will be much more.

Determining the lenght of life of human beings is not the duty of a man. Acting god is treachery against GOD. Aborting this baby will never gurantee this couple a life without pain.

Try having a physically handicapped child,be a parent and see the agony yur child is going through, clean up after your child every hour and try to play with a child who gets tired after every minute, try to go to bed crying every single night of your life because your beautiul child is so sad and cant do anything normally.. ....only then can you answer this question!I have seen the agony that parents have gone through...not having any more children becasue they wld not have enuf time to care for the handicapped one...and then the kid dies at 10 yrs of age..its tragic...I hate abortions and would never support them, but in this one case alone where everyone is sure that it will end in tragedy..it shd be allowed...Of course the courts did not have that solid confirmation they were looking for so,they denied it..but parents i think will have to face the problems...and if its a girl child, rest assured nobody in India is even going to marry her!!!?I really dont blame the parents.

oh, i thought of writing you a lenghty answer...but i guess it would suffice for you to know that i have a baby who is three and half months old now....it was born three months premature, so as of today it was supposed to be two weeks old.

When it was being delivered i was given the option of loosing the baby as 26 weeks would be extreme prematurinty and therefore lots of complications.

It now has a shunt for hydrocephalous after a shunt surgery (as good as a brain surgery) it underwent an ROP laser surgery to save its eyes (he is supposed to be blind now but i have faith in Allah that he will see one day). He underwent an operation for inguinal hernia yesterday and doing well now...and might live on oxygen help for somtime to come.

But seeing him gives me all the pleasure as a parent...while the nurses at the hospital tell me that so far they haven't seen a brave child as him.

So why did i not choose loosing him....becuase i would have committed MURDER. I would have played god and acting god is TREACHERY against GOD.

Did you ever see an animal hunting a fellow animal for food? Man is a social animal and it needs to hunt for so many things apart from food.

Apart from that, in our eco system, as per the rate of procreation of livestock, they can overrun the whole planet within a few years with no vegetation left to eat for them.

Man is a part of this eco system that helps the livestock numbers in check.

If you doubt my answer, you have many scientists who will underscore the answer above.

“as per the rate of procreation of livestock, they can overrun the whole planet within a few years with no vegetation left to eat for them”.
That is simply not true. If you leave it to nature, it will use its own mechanism to keep a balance between every thing. It is human only who is disturbing the balance between different species by breeding countless number of chickens, cows, pigs etc and then killing them for food.

Bombay HC refuses abortion of 26-week foetus
by shishu paul paul on Aug 04, 2008 05:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think parents should go ahead for abortion. Parents can take care of a child, but after parents it will be very difficult for him/ her to survive in this world. What will be the future of this kid. After parents, who will take care of it? There are so many questions like this....but on the other side it will be very harmful for the mother to get it abort at this stage.

Most people here say "if the child is...". Whenever you use "If" that means you don't know for sure. We are all born with uncertainities and nobody can predict the future with certainity. So how can you terminate a baby this late when the doctors see no abnormalities?

Idiot Mahesh,
This is a country where even strong, 'normal', medically fit people gasp for space, a decent life and some comfort. I think you have not seen a single handicapped person in your life or even dealt with them. Do ANY of public structures or buildings have ANY provision for the disabled. I dunno from which part of the country you are, but to give u a simple example - try getting into a crowded local train in Bombay during peak hours. Now imagine, the plight of a diseased or crippled person. Finally, try, just try spending an hour with a physically or mentally challenged person. And i m not even mentioning the costs involved in medicines and treating them. besides, of course the trauma of seeing your beloved child leading a disabled life. This is a society with NO sympathies for the disabled. So if a parent knows that a child will be born with abnormalities, it is better for them to spare the trauma of a lifetime and abort the foetus. Think from all aspects before jumping to conclusions and blamign the parents.
