None can stand in UP against the ones who bachan is with
by raj on Mar 20, 2007 12:44 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

None can stand in UP against the ones who bachan is with. We have no problem with mulyam terming us having joined with Congress, before elections. Mulayam is just saying this for ensuring the votes from certain sections, and we have absolutely no problem with it. Let him play his crads in areas where he is strong. We will play our cards in areas where we are strong.

Our understanding is let mulyam/mulyams chosen one rule UP and later samjawadi mps will be helping us install gov headed by us.

Look at inflation now and compare it when we were ruling earlier under Vajpayee and yashwanth sinha.

Dont be so carried away by the congress sponsored opinion polls. Mulayam and together withhim bachan family is also joining us. None can stand in UP against the ones who bachan is with. Look at who is with Mulayam, whole bachan family for popularity and amarsingh and reliance for financial support.

UP alone accounts for a big chunk of MPs. Up will vote with whoever bachan stands with. So mulayam will win. Ultimately we are ready for Bachan to be President of India and PM can be Mulayam or Amarsingh. Since Mulayams son is tipped to be next future of UP he can be Cm of UP. So mostly Mulayam will be PM.

We dont have problem with it with other key ministries with us. In coalition we all have to compromise, and we will do anything to throw out the current corrupt central government.

After installing the new govt in UP by Mullayam, You will be thrown out of your house to accomodate Rahim.

If this you want, you can go for it. It your life, throwm out by the party to whom you voted.

The same thing happened, whem a Man from Varanasi came to the party office to get his son treated with heart problems, he was waiting outside the SP party office, no one from your favorite party came forward, and his son died in the man's lap.

This is your SP, only for special person-Amitab Family. Whem Amitab Family arrives, the whole party carders come to his welcome.

Goodluck for your furture in the SP govt.

UP is always been differnt ballgame alltogether
by santosh on Mar 19, 2007 03:43 PM  Permalink

If take opinion of real ppl of UPwala in account, all know here ANTIINCUMBENCY like sophisticated things never worked (which may be true for other states). All that works here is simply REAL TACTICS, playing all cards. Here Elections are won by sweating out in dusty plains in chilling HOT sun, reaching out to real voter NOT by estimating strengths and weaknesses of parties in drawingroom watching TV or net. As others i too agree this election in UP will show who is the real raja Hindustani and Real HERO of UP. Battle is about to begin..See u on counting day, till then..Namaskar

Elections Schedule in Uttar Pradesh
by Murali Krishna on Mar 11, 2007 10:31 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is ridiculous to conduct State Elections in ONE state over a period of more than one month. There was a time when the elecctions in the entire country were conducted on a single day. General Elections for the entire country were conducted on March 16 1977 - on a single day.

The nation is going ahead and not backward! Election commission and politicians in India are making a mockery of Elections.

People atleast in this election should utilize to opportunity to elect a strong single political party to power and ensure that development is given prime importance.

Congress Finished?! Perhaps YES!!!
by Shaikh Iqbal on Mar 09, 2007 03:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The recent results of Punjab and Uttaranchal do not augur well for the Congress.

The Congress should join hands with BSP, CPI and other like-minded parties and form a front agsinst SP as well as the BJP.

Muslim leader like Rashid Alvi, A R Antulay etc. should be roped in besides others having skills and secular credentials. Salman Khurshid has failed miserably in mobilizing tyhe grass root workers against the misrule of SP. At the outset the SP and BJP clearly appear to be "hand in glove".

The Congress lacks leaders with/of mass appeal at regional levels. Prabha Rau and Margaret Alva are cases in point. They have terribly mismanaged the Congress affairs in Maharashtra and I see the same for UP unless Congress takes some dratic measures.

The Congress faces an uphill task in UP, but with proper management of resources and roping in good leader feeling the pulse of the grass root situation and cadres, it can fare better. Wake up Congress!!! All the best!!! It's now or never for you!

so you want mayawati to rule you and waste crores of rupees on ambedakar parks?
secularism is okay but what about
1. clean drinking water to all(24 hours running)
2. roads without potholes
3.food for all
4.jobs for all
5. 24 hour electricity
6. health services free for all
and
frankly i do not see leaders as muslim or hindu i see them oonly as good or bad
does that make sense to any muslims or they love to be treated as vote banks?

Dear friend
Secularism is a submission and it has made the country weak & submissive. Does India have any voice in the world opinion with so many parties pulling in different directions -parties with cross border loyalties in the name of religion or misplaced idelogies (you can draw your own conclusions). We must have a single major national party rule whether BJP or congress- all other parties must melt away. . Both secularism & coalittion rule have ruined our society. The voters must give a clear verdict this time.

The 7 Phases of UP Polls
by Shaikh Iqbal on Mar 09, 2007 01:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is heartening to see the poll in phases.

Mulayam narrowly escaped being dislodged as the Congress failed to impose President's Rule do to its lack of will and own political compulsions.

The Election Commission should ensure that voters are not intimidated and lured, and the voters should bring into the Assembly "MLAs who Care" and NOT MLAs who say "WHO CARES?!"
