Fundamentalists from Kerala ?
by biz Narayan on Jan 25, 2007 05:23 PM  Permalink

It is nice to read that Sonia Gandhi considers christian fundamentalists like Jogn Dayal as the torch bearer of tolerance. John Dayal is busy in getting more funds, they ride nice cars. They manufacture all the hate against hindus, carry the colonial legacy.

Kerali Christian fundamentalists shouldn't be so hell bent for conversion, and money. They should respect hindus instead of being deceitful

Hinduism in Danger!
by S Rajendran on Jan 24, 2007 01:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yes, Hinduism is in danger. Why? Because the illtreatment of the upper caste hindus of the lower castes. In Tamilnadu just fifty kilometres from Chennai, the State Capital, Dalits who go into a tea shop to have a cup of tea are given a separate tumbler to drink from and this after sixty years of Independence! So how they respond? They convert and this is what happens. Unfortunately most of your letters mainly from Hindu high castes do not bother to comment on this practice. All that they know is to ask Christians missionaries to be thrown out Why? So that they could illtreat the Dalits more than ever. S. Rajendran. (Please note that I am a "practising" Hindu and a Dalit)

RE:Hinduism in Danger!

Do you really think that ater the 'lower-castes' convert to christianity, their social situation is any better. Casteism exists very much in Christianity also, with Dalit christians being denied entry into some churches and certainly never allowed to become a pastor or perform certain rites in churches frequented by upper-caste christians. Even in many parts of the US, blacks have their own church, because they are not welcomed by the whites in many churches. The lower-castes in India in villages tend to have their own church. I have myself experienced their seclusion and exclusion in bigger churches. So nothing fundamentally has changed for them. As for your automatic assumption and accusation that people who are against religious conversions are 'upper-castes' is absurd and only reflects your own prejudices. I'm not upper-caste, and I strongly condemn religious conversion born of trickery, deceit, and through bad-mouthing and insulting Hinduism (and other religions) to make christianity look good. Christianity has practiced and continues to practice even today in many parts of the world acute racial discrimination, oppression and obliteration of non-christians; yet it seems ironic that lower social classes are led into believing that christianity is egalitarian religion and that Hinduism is not. if that isn't a pack of lies, then what is!!

American concern over HP bill exposes the US agenda!
by Jaganniwas Ramalingam Iyer on Jan 23, 2007 06:40 PM  Permalink

The professed concern of the Indian-American Christian group about the anti-conversion bill proposed in the Himachal Pradesh legislature exposes Christianity's facade of being a 'peaceful' and 'loving' religion. Far from it. Christianity is an aggressive medieval religion, desparate to win converts among the poor and needy of the Third World, now that Europe has practically renounced it, and acts as the cat's paw of imperialist regimes like the US, which is the number one Christian fundoo regime on earth. All talk of their 'concern' for the sick and needy are pure hogwash. On the one hand, more stringent anti-conversion laws, with provisions for draconian punishment must be implemented and on the social and political level, Hindus have no other choice but to unite to safeguard their only homeland from being overrun by these missionary parasites. They already have their agents in the form of the Italian Maino in 10 Janpath, plus the hidden John Dayals and other assorted evangelists.

Anti-conversions laws badly needed
by Vas on Jan 23, 2007 04:40 PM  Permalink

People in the west take to hinduism, buddhism, and other spiritual practices out of their own free will. In India, the poor and the vulnerable (sick, widows, children) are coerced, bullied, or induced by economic incentives to convert to christianity. Most have never read the bible when they are converted, so how could they possibly assess christianity. How would those who protest the anti-conversion law feel if they, or their loved one, was lying very sick in the hospital, and was told by the band of christian doctors, nurses, and 'social workers' that ONLY christ can save him. This is not 'love' but religious terrorism. Perhaps the rich pampered Indians don't need such laws to protect them, but the poor, the sick and the vulnerable badly need such laws to protect them from these religious vultures.

Changing Times
by Praveen Kumar on Jan 23, 2007 12:18 PM  Permalink

Christianity once used to be a religion of peace and social workers trying to remove the ills in Indian society. But now it has turned out to be a parasite.
They have already converted scores or millions of people. If this trend continues christianity will be the main threat to very existense of Hinduism. The fact is our religion is far superior and has seen billions of years. But still look how illiterate our people are. They change for money and false promises.

Enough is enough, If we guys are not united we will face so many religions and have to struggle. Guys please unite to face the dangerous phase in Hinduism.

Fair Enough
by Sudhanshu Saxena on Jan 23, 2007 11:42 AM  Permalink

Settle the scores, let there be conversion. Per conversion government should charge a hefty sum of money and the converted family shud be levied heavy taxes on whatever they get as income there after, a tax which even developed nation should feel its heavy. Lets talk business thats what the capitalist giants know. Ok we have a mass of people here buy them you #@$%@#$ if u wanna have them and the people wanna sell themselves. Who the hell cares who is my neighbor as long as my dear India grows stronger.

Anti-Conversion Day
by ashwani roy on Jan 23, 2007 11:21 AM  Permalink

It is basantpanchami today.Veer Hakiket Rai, a lad of 14 yrs was sacrificed by cutting his throat by koranic injunctions by mulims, moulavis and islamic administration,in the capital Lahore. His fault was to refuse to convert to Islam from Hinuism. This day is still celeberated as agreate day of sacrifice in Delhi,Jammu, Haryana and Panjab. So this day sould be celeberated as anti-conversion day.A letter and reminder should be sent to all proslytiser/religion converting agencies working secretly or openly in india to stop it. An other thing we have to do urgently is to invite our hindu brother back to the home who at any weak moment left us and this home under some pressure, grudge, greed,or deceptiv trape.
