Situation: India Political System is rife with people who are "Career Politicians" i.e. Politics is a means of livelihood for them and they work mainly to get re-elected. Problem: 1) Good politicians are not good administrators or problem solvers because they are conditioned to think on "Political Lines". 2) Good administrators, thinkers, leaders seldom join politics because the system is criminalized, corrupt, devoid of intellectualism, and low in Financial benefits. Moreover life of a politician is hard because rising up the ranks require political acumen and shrewdness. Objective: To cleanse the political system, giving adequate representation to people from all walks of life, who can make a difference to the nation. The solution should not affect "Career Politicians" for whom politics is a means of livelihood. Solution: Background %u2013 National Level Political parties in India are ideology driven. There is an imperative need to make paradigm shift towards %u2018Real Politik%u2019 India is lands of multiple cultures, language and identities. Ideological politics cannot fit the needs of such a diverse group of populace. What appeals to a group of people in one region need not be of any good to the people in other regions. Because of the diversity, problems are quite different. This is a reason why National Politics in India has been of limited success only. The political climate is interspersed with state level politics which ahs led to coalition politics.

This phenomenon results in Political instability and misappropriation of political power. Coalition partner who can provide the lead party with support is sure to get better ministries or power irrespective of whether they have capable people to run the ministries. This situation may work in the short term but it is not advisable if India wants to succeed as a nation and become a regional power. However there is a silver lining in the cloud because majority of Indians believe in Social Development and Economic Progress. Proposal - Major political parties should adopt a corporate like structure. They should have a vision and a mission which should be tuned towards Social Development and Economic Progress. A political party then becomes an Umbrella organization primarily composed of %u2018stakeholders%u2019. These stakeholders do NOT work; rather they collect or recruit politicians, intellectuals, representatives who can execute the vision and mission of the party. This organization then takes over local level political parties or forms alliances with them by making them a STAKEHOLDER in the Main Organization. If there are no %u2018Hard Written%u2019 ideologies, it will be easier to achieve this objective. The policy of recruitment is standard across the organization, there are certain Educational, Aptitude, Attitudinal criteria%u2019s to be met before a wannabe politician is given placement on a contractual basis. The party should give adequate representation to people from all walks of life

people from all walks of life, for e.g. corporates will like a member of their fraternity to be Commerce Minister, it should be entirely possible with %u2018lawful%u2019 donations and candidate%u2019s suitability. Money in the form of %u2018lawful%u2019 donations is important for the party to remain afloat. Some farmers lobby in rural areas will like Agriculture Ministry to be given to their representative so that he understands %u2018Their%u2019 problems. This should be entirely possible by reserving such ministries to appropriate groups or lobbies representatives. Career politician will have to make a stronger base before they become ministers. Recruitment of criminals will not happen because the Party will have strict recruitment policies which enforce %u2018background checks%u2019. Some influential local leaders will prefer not to join these mega parties but then they run the risk of being an individual in the all-powerful senate which belongs to major parties. This will induce them and their electorates to be part of the larger system, if they want representation. Horse-trading will not be allowed because these alliances will have to be developed much before elections. The recruitment of candidates will be for a limited term only hence fresh blood will be allowed to flow in to the system regularly.
Conclusion: By re-energizing the decades old political system in India , we can give the power in the hands of people who can make a difference to lives of Indians and take our country to the next frontier

Some exxperienced leaders of today - Kapil Dev's and Tendulkars of Politics can graduate to become stakeholders. They will be directly controlling the ground level workers as well as recruitinmg the promising individuals. So in -effect there will be 2 lines of progression through the ranks - rising through the field work or through intellectual or Group capacities. These Tendulkars, Kapils's will mentor the current crop of wannabes and share their experience with the Yong Turks !!
Flood is major setback to Indians every year. Contribution for help to flood sufferers should be made by BCCI as it is earning good amount per annum. Govt. should call him for such kind of help for poors. This will be good utilization of National wealth.
