People whoever designed this policy of quota, have forgotten that india is democratic country. Moreover, when history shows that because of one or the other issue implemented with such a narrow scope always head some heads rising against it at some point of time. Moreover, why and how a caste based policy can sustain in a multiferous society such as in India just the fate other policies faced. So, how quota can be a solution to such a burning problem that first of all is so diversified? Moreover out of several option possible, why only reservation is chosen? Is this an end of means? Have we forgotten mandal comission so early?
All I thought would have taken away this casteism if ways to achieve economic freedom would have ensued rather than pointing out fingers to this caste has this that..and all this. Money is a great leveller like time and death. So, Our great leaders instead of focussing on this front and made the water more muddy by digressing into issues like caste/religion/minority/majority and still call themselves secular. What wonder of wonders!. Even a child can understand that. All is required is will and professinalism. Nothing else apart from making economically empowered. Everything else will follow. It's still not late. Though bad habits take time to go away, but not impossible. All is required is jolt to see the reality. The reality is empower the people to achieve greater economy, based on it's need. The present strike is a mere bubble in surface. There should be more to show what upliftment has been achieved so far. All I want to see is my country is prospering, rest all will take care of itself if left untouched. They say empty stomach, one cannot follow religion. So how can we talk abt religion/cast/minority/majority, without finiancial freedom. May everybody proper may peace reign.
. Economic freedom is a birth right and individual would do whatever they can to achieve it. Had it not been the case, people wouldn't have taken to a profession varying from killing to feeding the people. 3. Education has a indispensive part to play not just to create economic freedom but as explained in point 0, craeate a happy citizen as one benefit. As of now, our democracy is neta-relying democracy. We expect that they would do something for people and they are not doing it, and it means that people don't have something that they want neta to do for them. 4. Economic freedom is not a finish line of a marathon. Everybody wants more and more and won't stop. Based on all this it follows that education and jobs are required for everybody. There are classes that already have reasonable degree of freedom and there are some that don't have. Did you see that the word of caste never came into picture. All that ever came up was economy and freedom. I would I had the power to modify history of independence. There is a country and there are people. Some people are poorest of the poor and some people are rich of the rich and some in between.
But does this tell that whoeve didn't join these people and decided to stay back are economically deprived. The answer is a "yes" and a "no". There are some, as in the case in society anywhere in india(as this is not a 100% machine society) there has to be a economically lower class dependent on higher class. Never the less, coming back to original flow, for money is required job and follows that for job is required qualification. To raise intellect level and skills, education is must apart from others (As an example: a weaver in village would pass on the knowledge to his progeny and they would make a livelihood, but they both are un-educated. so they can sustain, but had they been educated, they would have more domains/resources to choose the resource from, for greater independence). Education is one of the base on which economic independence surely depends upon, irrespective of present economic condition or class. From all this discussion, it's imparative that: 0. Economy of a country drives other facets of life of a person and hence of a country. 1. Economic freedom for every individual would in turn increase that of a country.
I would be tempted to say this because I know that people from other part of india come to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore etc. Also, please note that I define "growth" as economic growth. Other growths are mere tributaries from economic abundance. When hunger is satisfied, man would look towards sleep or enjoyment and hunger is satisfied with food and food you get by money, even if there are no farmers(Like U.S, one can get it bought from other countries if required be). For money one requires a profession at a given point in time. For profession, one needs to carry out an activity like farming, selling, speaking, teaching etc and why leave out lying, stealing, killing etc. Now, when people are flocking from other parts of country to cities, it means that people believe that they will achieve economic freedom as the oppurtunities to achieve same are more there. Though this mightn't be the only reason, other reasons(though secondary) could be anything to satisfy enjoyment, security of furture or sustainance. Also this proves that they don't believe that villages don't provide any of these in abundance.
It's really surprising to see that "reservation by caste" is thought out only "viable and last working" plan by Hon. Govt of India, acheived after "debate(?)" even decades after independence when this plan was introduced. On a personal example: If I think that my hunger is not yet satisfied, then I would ask for "more" food. Hence, Does this mean that govt itself agrees that it never worked in past when it was deviced and hence percentage needs to raised? What's more surprising is same solution was arrived at 50 years back or so and it remains true even today as govt has taken this decision. As a nominal pre-sumption, I would like to take some concession to say that post-independence era must have had atleast some change in mind-set of the people. I had studied that speed of a system of machines is decided by slowest moving part of the system. Let's change the word speed by growth while referring to this principle. In case of india "slowest" moving part are villages where most of the population of india resides, where as fast moving "parts" are "not-villages" and "not-towns", but "cities".
Just pay attention to these little facts you will know the truth. Overall 15% of the entire population of India is general. More than 60% of the highest authority in Public as well as private sector is occupied by this meagre15%. If we talk specifically about Brahmins, 2% of the entire population of India is Brahmin but 33% of the IAS officers are Brahmin. They are ruling our country since last 2000 years, now they have the fear of being dethroned so there is chaos all over. The Media persons are also mostly general cast so only the miseries & agitations of General cast are covered. The Medicos Agitation all over is really surprising. It does not suit the most talented lot of the Indians to be on the road for protest; they are like myrmidons who are obeying their superiors without questioning, something like Follow The Leader. Either they are too much confident about the ability of the backward class or they dont have any confidence in them to compete against the so-called inferior (Backward) class. The latter part of the statement fits well.

u should get your seats and jobs based on merit and not thru backdoor entry. do you think, even after getting reservations at the under graduate level of education, u need for higher education also ???? try comepting with every body based on merit and nothing else....
impression is being given that middle class cares for itself only. isn't it a fact that number of middle calss population is stagnant or reduced becuase they opted for family planning but the so called beficiaries of reservation are breeding like mosquitos. The politicaians know it that we are going to be lesser in numbers in future also therefore these breeders will always have upper hand. The so called middle class is being penalised for its committment towards country and the politicians will continue to harass us till such time we make an effort to polarise the country and vote enmasse for a candidate who looks after our interests may be we elect our own represenatatives.
