Quota - A end to means - Part 2
by Ravi on May 27, 2006 10:41 PM

I would be tempted to say this because I know that people from other part of india come to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore etc. Also, please note that I define "growth" as economic growth. Other growths are mere tributaries from economic abundance. When hunger is satisfied, man would look towards sleep or enjoyment and hunger is satisfied with food and food you get by money, even if there are no farmers(Like U.S, one can get it bought from other countries if required be). For money one requires a profession at a given point in time. For profession, one needs to carry out an activity like farming, selling, speaking, teaching etc and why leave out lying, stealing, killing etc. Now, when people are flocking from other parts of country to cities, it means that people believe that they will achieve economic freedom as the oppurtunities to achieve same are more there. Though this mightn't be the only reason, other reasons(though secondary) could be anything to satisfy enjoyment, security of furture or sustainance. Also this proves that they don't believe that villages don't provide any of these in abundance.
