As far as professional competence is concerned Ramdoss is NO MATCH for Dr Venugopal. It is perhaps this complex which has prompted Ramdoss to lock horns with Dr Venugopal and satisfy his ego.In institutions like AIIMS where doctors of repute are posted doctors of the calibre(?) of Ramdoss should not be allowed to become super boss. Persons who have vision, concern for public and have maturity should be appointed/nominated for such assignments. It is really unfortunate to witness such incidents.
The sacking of the director of an autonomous medical institute at the instigation of of a politician and health minister is atrocious and it causes serious threat to the autonomy of the institute adored by people in India and abroad for its excellence in medical field. The incumbent is also a famous cardiologist and a good administrator. The congress party in order to hang on with the support of assorted parties like PMK is going awry and ultimately it will meet its waterloo in the next parliamentary elections. Politicians should stop with politics. thiagarajan
The instance is a proof of the folly of having youngsters without maturity and modesty as Ministers in the Union cabinet of this great country , by political parties for the sake of their insatiable hunger for power. please do not sacrifice the honour of this country for selfish ends. We can have even illiterate persons as Ministers if they have some sense of responsibilty and maturity. It is no surprise for youngesters to loose their balance when they are put in high positions abruptly before they gain some experience in the conduct of reponsible offices.
The Parliamentary Committee on Health and Family Welfare , could see the danger in the roars and the discussions in the media regarding the dismissal of Dr. Venugopal, and have reacted at right time.
Suddenly the Parliamentary committee is all out in various vieled statements on Dr.Venugopals removal.I have no idea what is the abilility of Ramadoss as a Doctor, besides ofcourse his HUGE ego.We can clearly see the future of ALL institutions where Govt has some role to play. And I do know it would make NO DIFFERENCE to ANY of the politicians, even the ones who are so called taking up cudgels on behalf, and against the issues. And please donot by pass the issue of Privatisation of Neyvelle as a separate matter. These are ALL linked and both issues have its roots in Tamil Nadu, and NOT to overlook the apology tendered by the Tamil tigers who killed Rajiv Gandhi either. These are ALL very serious matters and are directly and DIRTILY linked with each other.Mahatma Gandhi could throw out the Britishers, but who will throw out these people ... sad but true, the claim for a DRAVIDIAN COUNTRY is but on the anvil, which was there when India became independent.Am I wrong in this assumption ? I dont think so.

From where does this dravidian nation theory come when we discuss deplorable action of a minister who is from tamil nadu.. I guess bad politicians are everywhere from Bihar to Tamil Nadu..
Tamil Nadu like any other state has contributed to the freedom struggle like all other states.. there have been several tamilians who died for this nation's freedom and most of them did not speak hindi, but they believed in the unseen thread that binds this nation.
India will become a better nation if we stop distrusting each other coz somebody speaks different language or looks different.
Your distrust will not take us away from India and we do not need you to grade our patriotism... Dravidian culture is a sub culture of the indian culture and it will remain so.
Fight real enemies of the nation rather than trying to distrust fellow indians just because we do not speak one of the Indian language which was elevated to be the national language by a wafer thin majority in the parliment
