The sacking of the director of an autonomous medical institute at the instigation of of a politician and health minister is atrocious and it causes serious threat to the autonomy of the institute adored by people in India and abroad for its excellence in medical field. The incumbent is also a famous cardiologist and a good administrator. The congress party in order to hang on with the support of assorted parties like PMK is going awry and ultimately it will meet its waterloo in the next parliamentary elections.
