Cheers .. Atlast there is this revolutionary real estate development called Rabi Rashmi by WBREDA. Congrats to all the people who contributed to this. We are a solar equipments selling company in Delhi and intend to start Solar home contracting very soon. People interested in solar utilities installation at their exisitng homes / offices or new constructions may drop the enquiry at alok.varshney@gmail.com
When writing message under your 'India's First Solar Housing complex' text message was not displayed arbitrarily. It has no bad language words used. It is not proper just quietly delete the message, because it takes time, money, power and energy to write something after lot of thinking. Hoping that it willbe displayed on news site. If it deleted then I do not have previous text matter copy with me and agian I have to think what was written and then gave up for ever writing again. This is a suggestion to your EDITOR of rediffnews. 1. If you feel message has not acceptable texts, highlight that text with Red colour and give back for deleting that texts or modify the message. 2. When modify the message, then you can put on display.
we are still stuck to nuclear energy, why cant our rural india sell power thru their feilds , by generation power thru solar energy, there will be a revolution, but for this we need a leader who can implement, but such inovaters cannot come to power.becuase power is not solar energy.Indian socity have adopted wasteful enrgy habits, like A/c and fridge, even though we are starving for basic needs. the cities are straving the rural india.Even solar energy is being decided by the urban masters.
India want this thing..,.. house hold consumption from solar , bio gas, wind energy and hudro energy...
the thing is house not requried more then 4unit a day and with 1 lack rs investment in PV cells one house hold can get 4 unit even in rain days because PV cell works on light and not solar...
when india is going for 100 Bn dollar jsut construction cost of nuclear station in enxt 5 yrs... we can see with jsut 2500 dollar one house can get electrcity for next 10 yrs... with this 100 bn dollar,
$1bn = 4000 cr rs... and if u divide by 1 lakh.. it will comes to 4 lakh house...
100 bn dollar is 4 cr house will get energy and 4 cr house mean at least 16 cr people because in india per hpouse 4 people are family...
second thing.. this can save daily 16 cr unit which is 16000 MW. which mean 10% of current production capacity....
nuclear deal is too big for country like india.. where we are getting good solar energy...
inndian house hold requirement is 30000 MW as per today... we can satisfy much need from this...
street light and city light requredment is 12000 MW this can also govt go for PV penals...
the thing is investment in natural resource will give good result then nuclear
we know 5 km road build by govt and even by pvt company are taking months and that too not good quality...
should we trust on govt that in next 10 yr they will make 10 new nuclear station????
Yes! I am a great fan of Solar Energy. fir the first time, I see my favoruite topic on rediff. It is great to see the kind of response. Many of us are awaer of the Clean and Green Energy, the source of which is tremendous. Nuclear Energy is not the only option for us, as we have tremendous amount of solar Insolation particularly in Asian countries. The advantage of Soalr energy is it is directly available, while for others, we have to get via indirect means. Also there is a misvonception about the cost of energy. While the Solar Energy needs large capital investment, whose payback period goes for 20-25 Years, while the other types of energy needs a little less period. Even Capital investment in the initial stages of a nuclear Power plant also very high, the reliablity of meeting peak load demand makes it convenient. But the safety factors are a major concern . Especially in a country like India, where the access is very for the people on the prowl. Even the World's largest guzzler of Energy, the US of America has only 25% of it's power from nuclear source. Much hype is being created by our politicians and the traders, as they need some thing new. Actually we are not new to the technology. No one bothers why should we sign the safety norms of IAEA or salutign Uncle Sam on this. With the huge amount of Solar insolation upon our country region, the cost of Soalr Energy comes down drastically. But who will listen? Do we listen? How many of us asked about a drop in Petrol/Di

How many of us asked the Government to roll backto the earlier prices of Petrol /Diesel? remember, we are paying for a $147 a barrel while at present , it is only $127. How many of us realize this? The oil comapnies, the governement is not raising any issue about this. But if it crosses the marka gain, they will ask for a rise in the price. Another important news item i want to refer is the Honda Company introducing Hybrid cars. The government says it will impose the 105% excise duty on such cars, and will not allow the technology for small cars. I do not understant the calculation behind this, but how much amount of Petrol/diesel they are going to save , restricting the technology to a few cars? How many Honda Hybrid cars are there at present? If they allow the technology instead, we could have saved a lot of fuel. ONE CAN CONTEST WHY Iam concerned about the introduction of technology , instead of using public transport! But how many of us will listen to such advice? We want comfirts/luxeries at the cost of our environment, which in turn is affecting us a lot. See how many carcinogenic diseases we have? go to any clinic, you will find number of people complaining about resipiratory problems. Are we bothered? .... To be continued

you should know how the petrol price is determined before asking those questions. Hybrid car is not such a great technology, granted it improves effeciency by around 50% but the main thing is to go completely off oil ie we need cars running on electricity and if electricity is generated using nuclear wind solar gas etc we are totally off petrol.

Thanks Mr.Girish, my point is not just making all cars hybrid, but the policies being made. By the way, what is your opinion on the First paragraph? You seem to be from refineries, especially from the private sector.I do not deny your right to fight back, but don't you know that the pricing of petroleum products is to satisfyt the refining companies? If you track down who is benefiting from the price hike, I believe it is none other than the refineries. My limited knowledge tells me that we can import petrol at a much cheaper price from refineries abroad, like Malasia, Pakistan, but again, the government is not willing. It will impose a lot of trading restrictions if you try to do so. But see what happened when India purchased Cement from Pakistan. Do you think the Refineries or the Cement factories mucst be safegaurded from such competition?? Any way, thanks for participating in a interesting discussion. Please feel free to write back

The other aspect of the payment for the technology is that it is one time investment while for oil, we need to pay every time it's price goes up. And my friend, improving 50% efficiency means, reducing at least 30% of Oil that is being used. That means less activity for the refineries, less pollution, lesser reate of inflation, little pain for the common man. You need any proof further?
That is taking place, and rediff has failed to report that, which is, Shiv Sena has come out with "Shiv Vada Pav", which is going to revolutionize the eating havits of the young people of Mumbai, and the entire project is being funded by, guess who, Macdonald!!!
This is really a great news.We are expecting this technology to be available for common man. which will make India energy indepedent and carbon free environment.
It is not the time for jokes, friends. Help each other to popularise this solar power generation. The media should come up to publicise this project free of cost. The progress of this Solar Power venture depends on the patronage we give to the promoters. Rediff can contribute by publishing more such articles and providing helpful URL s so that interested persons can access it. The government can codify the subsidy issues to make it easily accessible to ordinary men. All government agencies should include this subject (Solar Energy) in their day to day discussions. NGOs are the people the most useful agencies for spreading this awareness to the people. All class rooms should be made the discussion platform for this projects. No harm to include several lessons in the curriculum. In all classes. The content can be prepared according to the level of comprehension.
