you should know how the petrol price is determined before asking those questions. Hybrid car is not such a great technology, granted it improves effeciency by around 50% but the main thing is to go completely off oil ie we need cars running on electricity and if electricity is generated using nuclear wind solar gas etc we are totally off petrol.
