after seven years
by Hemachandar RS on Oct 15, 2007 04:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In 1999 My friend have closed by xyz card and sent the letter to the Bank and Informed them over telephone also. He know well In the same month Annual subscription fee will be charged by bank so the reason He closed initially and sent the message. His points also was there around 400 plus. Next Month state they charged 500 as the ASF. He immediately called them and asked to reverse it and send a closure letter to him. But they not to worry about that and the statements will come for next three moths and that it will disappear with reverse of said amount. Next one year He received the statement instead of his innumerous calls and writings. It is never ending story. Suddenly after seven years He received a letter from the bank stating around 2000 is to be paid as amount due to them. What to do? He stopped talking to them and writing back? is that correct.

Terrible Experience from SBI
by CHITHRAN RONEO on Oct 15, 2007 04:31 PM  Permalink

It was way back before such a platform of this nature was available. Back in 2003/04, it was a harrowing experience wherein recovery agents from SBI came to my home and to my office wherein they had come with 4 / 5 menacing looking people. My fault was I underwent a surgery and did not get paid for those months wherein i was at home They were not interested in listening. They nearly manhandled me but my security can into the picture and I was saved. It became a poice case and even today a case is registered and pending with the police against them.

Horrible exp from HSBC
by J Singh on Oct 15, 2007 04:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

well I am not sure if this is the right forum but I hv been harrassed by the Credit Card payment recovery agents of HSBC bank. These guys dare to call you even at around 8PM for recovery even if some problem is pending at the customer care. I dropped in a cheque 2days before the due date but was levied by the finance charges and service tax etc. When asked to review the same, they said they can't & i requested for cancelletion and agreed to pay only wht I spent. The customer care requested me to wait for another 4days during which I wud get a call from the cancellation department... No call since tht day and case forwarded to recovery agents....

koi insaan shauk se loan nahi leta hain, these people have very wrong ways of collecting the money, as a result RBI has set up an office at Worli, where you can tell your problems, and the RBI officers handle the case within no time. Anybody needing these people 's contact details, mail me at saigeet9@rediffmail.com.
