I do think that Degree which one acquire is only a preliminary tool for accessing a candidate's ability. This will not be the only factor. I strictly believe only in the knowledge gained through experience. Premium college students have a different rating criteria..
Yes it is a fact that to get an entry degrees are required. But after you gather the experience it is only that which counts. The knowledge which is gathered with the working experience would and is always more that the theoritical knowledge gained during the studies. With practice you gather experience and practice makes a man perfect. You have to show your skills on the table rather than on the marksheets.
Work experience carries more weight as one is on the job and gets an experience of the know - how of the job. Theory on the other hand is something that some person has documented after having complete knowledge of the subject. And complete knowledge comes only if one gets completely involved and is aware of the know - how of the same. Theory is necessary to get you started, but experience is necessary to get you ahead.
Experience is more important than the degree . in oldan days it was said "Managers are born but not made" but now-a-days the "managers r made" it was just bcz of the work exp they r having now a days
Experience should be considered more than the educational qualifications. Education will tell us what all tools are available but you will come to know where to apply which tool is only by experience.
As a management graduate i strongly believe work experience should come first before earning a management degree. In today's world both are required. To apply and get promoted in a job, degree is a must.If we have some hands on experience and then doing professional course is preferred,b'cos whatever we read through books can easily be understood and visualised. But if we are simply studying a book with out any prior work experience, we won't get a clear picture.so i always prefer to have some hands on experience before going for a management course
I have an eight years work experience in two large companies and I have found that a mix of theoretical knowledge combined with practical experience is useful in performing in the corporate world.
