In this world cup series, the ill-effects of commercialization of cricket has shown its ugly face glaringly in Bob Wolmer's alleged murder as well as shock defeats. What has remained as a hush-hush undercurrent so far, is out in the open. How are we to contain this contagion out break? ICC and the competing nations should seriously adopt measures to counter these. Newer and tougher codes should emerge for the teams and players as well as other promoters of the game. Sadly the developments should not say bye-bye to a gentleman's game.

new and tougher codes..who makes these codes..every body gets a cut when the money comes in from the sports ministary to the board to the player..everyone, why would they stop cricketers from advertising product ,you are talking about the richest Cricket board of the world..where do you think all that money came from..they wont do anything..we can..simply stop buying products being endorsed by these so called celebrities..although, lot of people may not agree to this, but thats the only possible way to redeem Indian cricket..
