The purpose of reservation is to uplift the downtrodden castes. Even after 56 years being a OBC community gujjars have not improved means it is failure of the philosophy of reservation.It is strange that people want to go to lower strata of reservation.Thid can happen only in india. What about reservation to Muslims in Andhra and to Christians in Tamil nadu? Recently Gowdas and Lingayats in Karnataka fought and got bacward caste status? There is no difference among political when it comes to caste reservations.

bhaiya/bihari, BJP doesn't have what it takes to stand up to these agitations .... BJP was the only hope against reservation, but looks like they surrendered too easily ... as they did when the IA plane was hijacked.
Your grievance seems to be against reservations... not BJP.... so please refrain from making sweeping statements such as "yeh to sirf BJP ruled states mein hi ho sakta hai.." etc..
Remember Shri Bheemrao Ambedkar was a Congressman (though not from Indira Congress, but still a close resemblance)... so your allegations that BJP is the root cause is a jump to conculsion that's longer than Bob Beaman's...

ha ha ... typical BJP bhaiyaa attitude of blaming Nehru for every present day problem.
Don't blame Nehru ... I bet Nehruji did not bring reservation for votes ... he did it for the right reason ... to uplift the backward classes.
Since VP Singh's Mandal implementation political parties are using reservation as a vote gathering tool. No one raised a hell about reservation until 1964 when Nehru died.

I believe on the first 5 Yr plan the reservation for teh Backward castes were implemented with a clear statement that after 5 Yrs this will be reviewed and if possible will be revoked. But in India everybody wants not to work hard. The quota keep on growing.The general people except Brahmins and Kstriyas and few other sects were renamed as OBCs.Still they are not happy they wanted ST status... People dream of growing bigger and stronger but in India it's not to be. I am hoping the day will come when the so called higher castes will be declared as some reserve category... And still the people complain why the so called higher caste people does not like the self called lower caste people...
