Don't blame Nehru ... I bet Nehruji did not bring reservation for votes ... he did it for the right reason ... to uplift the backward classes.
Since VP Singh's Mandal implementation political parties are using reservation as a vote gathering tool. No one raised a hell about reservation until 1964 when Nehru died.
