Guys ebfore you bad mouth the PM. Burns statement has to be read along with the Safeguards agreement. 1. The N Deal is to ensure fuel supplies and the safeguards agreement mandates that civilian and defence nuclear facilities be separated such that Nuclear from US, France etc is not used for warheads. 2. It is stupid to expect US ro FRance to give Nuclear fuel for building warheads. 3.It is acknowledged by both BJP and Congress that India does not need any more tests to build warheads. 4. Finally the PM has clearly said he would explore domestic legislation to neutrlaise the Hyde Act. Remember our friendly neighbourhood country is begging for a similar deal. Cheers

please go throuh the statements made by your glorified PM before June and statements and video clippings broadcasted in television channels including CIA sponsored CNN-IBN. Till june they have been telling that Hyde act is not applicable for India and India is bound only by 123 agreement and that Hyde Act is a domestic one etc. When Condolisa Rice told that Hyde act would be applicable to India our External Affairs minister came against it. Only during the parliament debate the government came out with the proposal of enacting a domestic law to counter Hyde act. Dear friend please don't try check the sense of people.

There is nothing much to cheer for Indians. Stop talking about Hyde act, 123 agreement etc. The N-deal is about to operationalize.
The LEFT, all along had a soft pedaling even though they had prepared a 202 page booklet, well-researched on this deal.:) The issue become serious when MMS kicked them on the back and asked them to go if they want. INGRATITUDE!! BJP is for strategic relationship with US. What for? To fight with neighbours? Let them read political science. We can not sleep well by fighting with neighbors. Adopt the Nehruvian method. Negotiate and settle the issues. In legal terms any law passed can not be implemented from a previous date, especially for international agreements. Passing a law to counter Hyde act is meaningless. US is not a country ruled by stupids!! Read the declaration of the black day between B and M. Read my previous post also.
