Advani's advice to PM to prove his majority within a week's time and urging the same to the President, was not received well within the political circles. First it is not his duty to impose when it should be done and the President is there to decide. Secondly what is the hurry for this man to become PM. It is understandable he is ageing and he would like to become PM sooner than later. But then the elections should be first held as per his wish in November and then he must get the majority, which he will never get. The number game has just started and it will be a tought time for BJP to topple the Govt. It first tried all the tricks under the sleeves to topple by offering PM post to Mulayam. When it did not work, BJP called the alliance between Cong-SP opportunistic while it was not so when he was courting SP. This is the real face of BJP who would stoop to any level to come to power. Congress is the most dignified of the lot, it would not do anything to undermine the established parliamentary practices. Its PM is docile and soft spoken and when time demanded he asserted himself. See how he thrown out Left challenge to his Govt. He is away in Japan but was fully aware of the ditching game of the Left. He was quick to say that there is no danger to the Govt. He would return and remain PM to face the trust vote during this month. He might or not prove the majority but one thing laudable about him was that he did not bow before the Left. He did what is right for the country.

It the responsibility of the opposition party also. Congress has always worked for their own interest. They have hardly worked towards nation's interest right from Nehru to Rajiv's time. How do you know Nuclear deal is in nation's interest. What if we spend billons of dollar in setting up nuclear plant and US stops supply in between. What about security threat from China if we don't upgrade ourself in nuclear and missile warheads.

Your pro congress tilt is fully understandable. However, you must not forget that our PM could say 'bravely' that the govt would proceed with the nuclear deal only after the "deal" had been finalised with the SP back home. Had there been no support from SP, this govt would have never proceeded ahead with the nuclear deal & would have continued to dance to the tunes of Left parties. Also, you are factually wrong in saying that BJP offered PM's position to Mulayam. In UP, its the BSP which suits the BJP more as an ally rather than the SP. Moreover, now when hardly 8-10 months are left before the general elections are held in the country, BJP would never want to form the govt. as it would have to pay the price for the wrong doings & wrong policies of the UPA government. Also, you have said that the Congress party would never do anything that may udermine the established parliamentary practices. Please remeber how the same govt. had stopped Arjun Munda of BJP to from the govt. in Jharkhand despite the fact that it had the required majority in the house. The 'clean image' govt. is being supported by the likes of Laloo yadav & Shibu Soren against whom dozens of cases are running in the various courts of law. Let's admit, when it comes to save the 'gaddi' all political parties apply all the tricks that they can, thus saying bye bye to the principles & policies that they stand for. Congress's decision to form the UPA govt. with Left support was ethically & morally wrong as their poli

Dear Sir, India is a poor country 40% of its people cant get enough food to feed themselves, please dont divert attention of the people by raking up nuclear deal we wont die if it doesnt happen and we are strong enough to do it any time given our economy and powerful armed force so why now instead we should pay attention to development and also a stable strong PM must be there. I feelAdvani is a fit person to be PM Sanjoy

FYI, there is no difference between PM, President and Sonia. So, its very well his duty to raise the concern and remind the dummy figures of their duty. BJP don't want them to do further horse trading and hence they are in hurry. Perhaps you forget the deeds of this dignified lot. Do you remember how they used the governors of various states for stopping the non-cong parties to make govt...... For you, I understand that you wont get more dignified lot than this anywhere.....:-) BUT....ITS NOT ONLY YOU.....

Atleast BJP stepped down, when they could not muster the numbers required after 13 days. they did not get in to unholy alliance like Congress did, so that it can hang on to power
