I am a hindu and have 4 muslim friends. We eat together and pass good time together. How can some one say that they are opressed. We visit each other's house, attend unctions, pass good time and share feelings. And in case some one plots some terrerist activity any where in India or any other place that we vye for each other's blood. Ofcourse Politics and the so called Vote Bankdominates this. So it is better for them to realise mymuslim bretheren that they are being made scapegoat and therfore should act cautiously in future.

Mr Sharad, its not your emotionals feeling towards your friends its the numbers which proof Indian Muslims are systemically oppressed, go and check the number why muslims are not employed according to their population ? specially in governemnt sector ? Muslims dosent make even 2% of that ? this is just one example.

You haven't factored in the partition. Muslims lost a good portion of the educated elite and middle class during the partition. This stifled their growth to a large extent.

Instead of quoting one off instances perhaps you could check for over all literacy % in muslims in India. Also, remember even a 5th standard drop-out who can read and write qualifies to be a literate person. Is he eligible for a government job? The question is do they have the necessary skill set.

This is an ostrich like attitude. Much akin to blaming the jews for 9/11. The problem of terrorism exists and by your argument, it is not just the Indian police, but police forces all over the world. Wake up and smell the coffee. Instead of blaming x,y and z realise your follies and try to over come them.

Dear Mr. Hyderabad Contact,
Being literate and being eligible enough to be at a govt. post are two different things. In the Kerala village which you say has achieved 100 % literacy (Malappuram Dist. as a whole) has about 80 % of the Muslim guys taking up their education to 12th and then leaving it for good to go over to Gulf regions. So for the statistics there are so and so number of "literate muslims", but the fact is that majority of them are not up to the level of having a representation at the govt. level. And for the fact, the lac of representation in the govt. level does not also prove that they are not financially good. I can assure that more than 80 % of the muslim population in Malappuram are in quiet a well-to-do situation even though they doent have representation in govt. posts.
