Immigration
by ranvir singh on Jun 27, 2007 10:26 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Better to immigrate Canada, Australia, NZ or US where you still have nature, clean air/water and unspoiled wilderness. Immigration is much more than financial aspect that is only thing people can understand in India.
Other wise whole life will pass thinking about Java, technology, money, movies, cars, expensive shopping and all man made stuff.

Enjoy the nature, wilderness, sounds of water, glaciers, camping, long drives like you can not see any human for 1-2 days.

Arre bhai jinko matinee jana matinee jao botany jana botany jao .. why fight .. baki mere hindustani bhaiyo and gals I am sure there are places in India we can hike .. some swimming pools we can swim in and sometimes our votes do matter sometimes somethings really work ... and even if it works sometimes and not most of the times it matters more because its working here in India our motherland not in some foreign land .. and in its own good time things will improve they have too ... and then our bandhu ranvir and or his kids might think about a hiking trip to India .. till then happy hiking ranvir .

Perhaps ur view on immigration is right butI think you are the one who donot have respect for your own country. Why is better to immigrate Canada,Australia,NewZealand or US?Just for Clean air,Pure water and for unspoiled greenery, you can still able to find all these nature's gifts around you at your country too.And if you aren't able to found all these things inside India then I must say that you havn't know your country.India too have glaciers, sounds of water, untouched beauty of nature, but talking about these,u think is offward. One thing more after getting technology, movies, cars, and other luxuries would you satisfy your life?
don't you think that there is some duty of yours towards your own country and your forthcoming offsprings to give/provide them all facilities and luxuries you are talking above.
please don't take it personally, these are just my views about your topic immigration.

Hi Shubhra, Yes. You make a point there. Everybody, including me loves our own country. But even then, one can't see better things unless one sees the world outside India. We blame other developed nations always & we are complacent in saying that 'we are great as we are!', with all our vices and bad things. We can spit & do other things anywhere, we think we are even greater with all our indiscipline and lack of social values like throwing plastic anywhere . I have seen the world where they will keep junk in their hands till they FIND a dust bin! I have seen people who clean and mow lawns even outside their house limits so that their country looks beautiful. I have seen people who do not blow car-horns and consider it as sin in view of sound pollution. I have seen groups of boys & girls planting flower plants on public roadsides on their weekends. I have seen kids just looking & appreciating flowers in public gardens without touching them. Shubhra, our problem is that we are averse of taking even good and decent things useful to our country, from the outside world. When we try to tell our folk that we can also practice such good things in our country, we are jested at and called traitors! We forget that the world has advanced only after comparison. Comparison is no sin. And comparison for the benefit of our own country, coming from the feeling that my country should also be like this, is no sin at all.

u r right on point ranvir. of course a large part of migrating to another country is abt money, but its not ONLY abt money. there r so many nature related and/or man-made things that one can do in the U.S. i dont think it has anything to do with patriotism. its about building and leading a good life for oneself and the generations to come.

Secondary citizen that is one thing mostly people take it in their mind in India. Yes I live in Vancouver Canada and I love this city. There is big difference between developing and developed countries that is reason they called developed. That difference is not only car, money, buying power but more a social/medical/basic living standard stability

2. I am ok so called secondary if I can vote myself not like if I reach poll my vote is already done. There is no military on voting poles look like war zone.
3. If there is accident happen on road by calling 911 you can get medical help immediately or medical helicopter if needed in traffic jam. You don%u2019t need to pay/deposit a big sum just to admit in hospital does not matter how serous u are.
5. You don%u2019t need visa to go anywhere in Western Europe, Australia, NZ, Japan and lot of other countries.
6. You have more time with family/kids then heaping on computer and training class just to beat your colleagues in tech skills
7. Can work from home sometime, leave early on long weekends and enjoy all weather. Yes can enjoy winter with lot of fun activities.
8. My wife/kids can go for swimming/cycling/hiking/tennis anytime.

Yes India has all. But how far you need to drive those nature things and do you remember when did you go for hiking, cycling, skiing, snow walk, rock climbing last time?. May be you need 1 week vacation for seeing a place without human. How many people can do camping in jungles with family? Fo

The term 'secondary citizen' is generally used by those persons who are jealous of others who settle elsewhere in the world, like the 'Fox's sour grapes'. They did not get a chance or are not bright enough to go there and work. When they preach patriotism, they conveniently forget what our own great saints have said. "Vasudha Eva Kutumbakam. All earth is my family." It is the NATURE man. Even the BIRDS keep migrating for better life conditions.

I bet, these persons would send their kids to US or Europe at the first chance they get and will then boast about it.

The term 'secondary citizen' is a crap. There is no such thing as that. You are paid well, you are looked after well, you are encouraged on your performances, It is all there. Yes, I agree, you may not have voting rights and perhaps the local laws may restrict you to become a president of their country. But that is immaterial and uncalled for when I think of the type of people we vote here in India and when I
think of the imported president of the ruling party in India, which can only happen in our country, India.

What a hypocrite! People stay in India because they were born here, they live here and they love it here. Slimy rats like you take the easiest way out...take everything India has to offer, including govt subsidized technical education and run for the nearest glitzy country. No soul, not an iota of pride, no backbone...and you have the gall to look back and spit on the country of your forefathers? You are scum. Take your slimy self, lick some white asses and live wherever you want, go screw in your neck of the woods, but at least have the civility not to stamp on the dignity of a billion people by trying to impose your cheap warped mentality on us.

what if u r secondary citizen in ur own country?
this country belongs more to muslims, OBCs, SCs, etc. this is what Indian Govt is projecting. Saying Ideal things seems nice but what if u have to kill somebody to get a bread or a place to sleep, better to migrate.

@on....

Are you the same person that went gaga over watching Sivaji in USA?....I am pretty sure you are.

I fail to understand, it is OK for you to come and work in the USA but not for Ranvir Singh, who is honest enough to admit he is just looking for a better quality of life?

And if you don't live in the USA (which i doubt)...then my advance apologies.

OK. I live in US. But I am realistic about future and not overly optimistic about US and overly pessimistic about India. Globalization will even out these diff. in future (if not near future). Do you really believe with ageing population (and ever increasing illegal population..:)) these developed countries will be able to compete with emerging economics? And as far as climatic conditions goes my city in India is much better than here...Whole of India is not Dharavi my friend..:)

Hello--no name,
Who prevents you from staying in your own country and speak against pollution instead of preferring pollution? This is what has become our complacent mentality and pseudo patriotism that we shall continue to keep our country as hellish as it is, that we shall not even try to improve the situation, and that we shall be happy with our own created hell under the pill of patriotism. We shall never improve sir. We do not deserve to.
