Hi Shubhra, Yes. You make a point there. Everybody, including me loves our own country. But even then, one can't see better things unless one sees the world outside India. We blame other developed nations always & we are complacent in saying that 'we are great as we are!', with all our vices and bad things. We can spit & do other things anywhere, we think we are even greater with all our indiscipline and lack of social values like throwing plastic anywhere . I have seen the world where they will keep junk in their hands till they FIND a dust bin! I have seen people who clean and mow lawns even outside their house limits so that their country looks beautiful. I have seen people who do not blow car-horns and consider it as sin in view of sound pollution. I have seen groups of boys & girls planting flower plants on public roadsides on their weekends. I have seen kids just looking & appreciating flowers in public gardens without touching them. Shubhra, our problem is that we are averse of taking even good and decent things useful to our country, from the outside world. When we try to tell our folk that we can also practice such good things in our country, we are jested at and called traitors! We forget that the world has advanced only after comparison. Comparison is no sin. And comparison for the benefit of our own country, coming from the feeling that my country should also be like this, is no sin at all.
