proxy war
by Arman on Jun 03, 2007 03:49 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

All of you have heard about proxy war. All of you have also been told that Pakistan is responsible for it. Dig a bit deeper, try to put pieces together and you would know it was American proxy war for thirty years against India to force her to sign NPT and become another vassal state. Yes, stupid Pakistani army generals are/were more than willing but they still are mere pawns. Indian nuclear tests were a warning that India would not take it lying down any more. US has started respecting India only after India has shown some guts. If India gives her strenth away and they would treat her like dirt.

It would not be out of place to repeat it once again. US needs India more than India needs US. India needs to have confidence in herself. India doesn't want any land or impose its culture on anyone. No one should fear india except those who want to cause us harm. India can be a great moderating influence in Asia. US needs India badly. US wants to disentangle themselves from Pakistan and India can help.
Stick to parameters of the Bush-Singh deal signed in 2005. That deal was signed after several months of negotiations. That was end of the give and take not the point where US would start asking for more concessions.

You have rightly summarized the situation. And it is no rocket science to see the US strategy so what hurts most is that there are so many people who can see it all clearly and why is this govt so dumb.

your concerns are unfounded ... perhaps you suffer from US phobia which is due to your limited knowledge of this deal.

The deal with US is actually in India's interest ... somehow, Indians are being led to believe that it is not and some gullible people are falling for it. Guys, wake up. India is not being asked to sign NPT.

Yes, US needs India to sell its technology and India needs this technology to keep up with its growth. This will help India provide cheaper and reliable source of energy and also a resource to further its nuclear strength.

All this without having to sign any NPT. What can be better?

Don't pay attention to concerns shown by Brijesh Mishra or Jaswant Singh. BJP would have done the same thing had they been in office and congress leaders would have opposed them then. It's all politics guys. Don't fall for this.

"somehow, Indians are being led to believe that it is not " - well, I believe I read so many columns in national newspapers where not dumb politicians are saying negatives about this deal, but well informed, more patriotic scientists from our premier science institutions . we should not give up our quest for knowledge for the sake of energy security blah blah whatever. At last, ALWAYS REMEMBER - STRENGTH RESPECTS STRENGTH.

I respect your opinion but want to know that of all the intelligent articles from well informed, patriotic scientists from premier insitutions that you have read, what has made you believe that the deal is not in India's best interest.

Can you share those findings/conclusions here. Most of the opposition that I have heard is that this deal puts India's national security at risk, it makes us slaves of the US. I do not yet understand how the deal risks India's national security when absolutely no compromise is being made on that account. Not only is India not signing NPT, we are not going to put up our nuclear research facilities for US inspection.

Mr. Loan.. I think elite scientists like Dr. A. Gopalakrishnan and Mr. Anil Kakodkar have best interests of India.. and you should stop trying to fool people around.. Remember.. "No one can fool everybody for long time" and world has realised this ( the double game US plays).. Can you people look in the mirror and say what Bush has done in Iraq and trying to do it with Iran is right? Bush said "Weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq, plundered, raged the country..put its puppet people on board and got hold of oil..
This summarizes US's intentions that it requires countries either to be servile to it.. or wage war to destroy the race in that country. Such devious designs.. if Chavez says Bush is a devil.. he is no wrong!
God knows what they have in mind for India..for being a good nation in the world..You dear do this to China..and see what reaction you get.. US is an expert double tongued "communicating" nation..
We do not require to believe Jaswant Singh..

US reasons for attacking Iraq bear no connection with this deal. Just because US screwed up in Iraq and is facing opposition to the war at home, does not make us not wanting to do business with the US. We (India) do a lot of business with the US (not just in IT) despite our opposition to war in Iraq.

we can do business where it is win-win.. not win-lose. Why Hyde act was passed and 123 agreement was discussed at length and breadth in US Congress while same is not allowed in our parliament? Why they want to curtail our reprocessing rights on fuel purchased...why they donot allow testing even though we have unscrupulous neighbors like Pakistan, China and now Bangladesh who just look fot an oppotunity to wage a war or internal conflict..and ADDED to that they keeping singing "praises" of iNDIA'S RESPONSIBLE behaviour..? and when coming to allowing testing US congress looks suspiciously..tell me what right those stupid senators have to right such worst wording letter to Indian PM? and they say "You can ofcourse do simulated testing in labs"? If anyone can test and confirm their success in labs.. Why the hell US used Iraqi war to test its payload.. that double tongued country..and lastly, it even without us signing the deal ..twisted arms to go against Iran and expect us to join them in unscrupulous bloody war against everybody in the wrld for their benefit.. Certainly..this deal needs to die before it takes birth..
