I don't know if I was not ambigous in my post. I made it clear that the fact that a muslim from indian origin was selected over muslims from other countries speaks volumes about our country where we have freedom to learn Islam in its true essence. Those who think Indian muslims are lesser belong to Pakistan most of the time. The country which was formed for the so called cause of securing Islam and muslims has done nothing but to put muslims to shame.
Having said that I would urge my Indian brothers to stop muslim bashing when there is really no need to do that.
Some body here made a comment that Islam teaches hatered. My hindu friend what does sites like www.hinduunity.org teach? Love for people from other faiths?
How much love hindus have for backward classes and dalits?
I had been to Washington DC and there I was surprised to see monuments of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and people praising them because they thought about black slaves 200 years back. Islam talked about ending slavery , equality and women getting their share in property etc etc 1400 years back.
If you only want to see -ve aspect then you will only see them and will never see ve aspects and hence your comments won't be credible because they are one sided.
I am a muslim and proud to a muslim and proud to be Indian as well. Incidents like Gujrat riots and Babri Masjid and other insulting remarks hurt my feelings but doesn't make me paint single hindu with same brush and hate all of them. I still appreciate the greatness of Indian people and don't start bashing them when it is totally uncalled for.
Sometimes I think India is still united because of muslims. There is so much differences among non muslims ( caste , language , states etc etc) if they get united then it is only to oppose muslims.

Nauman, appreciate your sentiments which are very good but please also exclude negativity like only something is happening because of muslims only or because of Hindu. It is projected that all Hindu practise caste system is not true. People have married intercaste and inter religion too, esp in India. And human society is getting better too. Every religion has some problem, muslim too have some ( multiple marriages etc. but all muslims are not following the same practice , isn't it) i will not list out. We all are proud Indians and any evils are there in society or religion we will positively take up. I live in washington, I am a devout Hindu but I have a brother (more than brother) and he is Mulim. We belong to same village in Bihar. (So i am proud of being from Bihar too.)It doesn't mean i will not accept what ails in Bihar or In india or in my religion, but I will be always positive. Patriotic Indian.

I did not defend anything which is wrong with muslims in India or anywhere else. I only wanted to make a point that the origninal rediff article had nothing which should have invited muslim bashing in first place. The fact taht a muslim of Indian origin was selected to head some apex body in Australia has got nothing to do with terrorism or Islam. I did not understand why anything to do with muslims or Islam even if it is good invites muslim bashing and people start writing comments filled with hatered. And I am assumingthat only educated people browse thru internet and read these articles. ALl this hue and cry and muslim bashing did not deter lot of people in western world to embrace Isalm as I am writing this. I don't want to get into statistics about which religion is having more population in west. I had been to Germany and seen one ad for teaching Yoga and had taken its snap as I was happy that Indian culture is spreading all over. Meeting an Indian in foriegn land brings smile on my face even if he may not be a muslim. I think in todays day and age when everyone is so stressed out there is no point in spreading -ve emotions by writing posts filled with hatered. Correct me if I am wrong but I see muslim bashing taking place all the time in rediff messsage boards regardless of the content of article which is not good for anybody.

Your attention-seeking behavior makes me wonder about two things, either you are way too young to understand the nuances of religion or are so naive to be brainwashed by a madraasa educated(or is it brainwashed?) mullah or a imam. Time and again, it has been documented that you guys spread hatred and total intolerance among yourselves. You are fit to be in some remote corner of wajiristhan. Not in civilized society. I don't understand why you are jumping up and down and making a big deal by naming it islam bashing, when somebody who has things to ask which are totally accepted in mainstream societies as being illogical. But you are from the same breed who won't express (even faintly) when your brothers behead innocent folks all over the world. Don't be delusional. I don't have to prove my credentials, education or maturity to someone like you who has no decency left wonder which civilization you belong to... I don't see anything written against Indians or anything written to favour terrorist in my post but still you over reacting. Does the original arctile in Rediff has got anything to do with the venom that you are spitting against muslims? There must be some other article where you should write against muslims where it is relevant. Have some sense while posting to the blogs or websites.If muslims have done so wrong with you then better create your own blog and write against them and their religion if you feel like doing that.

Unless there is a distinction between Islam & terrorists, we should accept these Mr. Nauman Ahmed kidy.
Just a small clarifcation. Islam is not growing in United States. Please dont be under the impression that Islam is growing in US or western world. Hinduism beats all other religious minorities in US. 50 million people in US follow the Hindu principles of Yoga and meditation. They say sacred Hindu chants and some of them even follow vegetarianism. Thus Hinduism beats Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Bahai, Confusianism and Scientologists COMBINED.
Secondly, what hinduunity.org does is overstating facts which is inflammatory. But it is the only right wing Hindu website. Contrast this to the millions of radical Islamic websites on the internet. With all defects in Hinduism buddy, we still dont bomb Dalits or bomb their temples or wipe them out. We are reforming ourselves and we are open to criticism. On the other hand Muslims are killing each other in Pakistan and needles to talk about Hindus in Pakistan that are getting killed, raped and looted day by day.

Before blaming others, think about where else people follow hinduism ?? hindus hate their own religion and make a mockery of it when they come to the west. Eat cow and say sab chalta hai
