This is one of the best analytical articles I have read so far. (You have my sympathy. You should read a bit more.) The Congress and communist hypocrites have always been against Hindus. (Really, now : since only a few congressmen relatively are non-Hindus. Do we take it that certain Hindus are anti-Hindu ?) Yet so many foolish Hindus have been supporting these two pseudo-secular parties. (It seems the thought expressed is that a very large number of Hindus are foolish enough to do that.) Now under a Christian foreigner, the anti-Hindu conspiracy has sought to widen the divide between castes and communities. (After a person is granted citizenship, he or she remains a foreigner, is it ?) Why should there be separate laws in a secular state? (Because that was what the Constitution the people gave themselves states. Why is it so difficult for a %u201Ctolerant%u201D community of Indian people to tolerate another community of Indian people living according to their laws ?) Why not have a common civil code, so that there is no differentiation between people of different communities ? (Uniform Civil Code : any formats yet ? Consensus ? What does a Civil Code do : change people%u2019s thinking ? Which parts of what laws will prevail and form part of such a code ? Have you discussed the details with your own co-religionists in various parts of the country ? Would you like to try that before finding it impracticable and unacceptable to the vast majority of Hindus themse

vast majority of Hindus themselves ?) Why should Haj subsidy be given, while Hindus are over-charged for their pilgrimages? (Hajj subsidy does not exist : what the government does is to say they subsidise the travel costs for people and require travel to be by Air India : that nets the airline a large captive market %u2013 just ask any airline what discount it will give if it is given 2,00,000 passengers to and from certain pre-set destinations in a short period. The answers will show if the persons going for Hajj are allowed to choose their airline, their costs will actually be lower. Don%u2019t trust this : ask and find out.) Why are Hindu temples being controlled by the 'secular' Govt? (Why indeed ? Get them free from such control. Government of a secular nation should have no presence in religious matters.) Why are Hindus not having any say how their temple funds should be spent? (Same response as earlier.) Why is Govt looting the temple funds and properties? (You tell me : actually the same applies for wakf properties. Not government : political gentlemen and ladies with interesting propensities do such things to all %u201Cvictimisable%u201D properties, Hindus%u2019 or Muslims%u2019 being of no concern for them) Why is Govt funding madarasas, mosques and paying mullahs from temple funds, when it is 'kafir' money for them? (Ascertain the facts : madrassaas are not funded from temple funds. When the Government wants institutions to do certain things, or make themselves subject to a regulato

make themselves subject to a regulatory regime, it requires that compliance against aid which it offers. Are those who have stood deprived for long since independence, not entitled to be treated on par with others ? If there can be reservations for others due to past discrimination, do Muslims not qualify due to the same situation since 1947 ? There is an International Convention on Civil & Political Rights, one on Rights of Minorities, etc., which India has either signed or ratified. The Constitution requires those treaties to be respected and their terms honoured.) So many smaller temples are closed for 'want of funds' and priests are so poor they cannot eat two square meals a day. (Count the number of %u201Cpoor%u201D mosques, thatched roof churches, etc., any time ?) Why should Govt spend 15% of funds on Muslims, when there are many 'stinking rich' muslims who can fund their own community welfare ? (Because the %u201Cstinking rich%u201D Muslims also pay tax, and the 23.461 percent Muslims too are Indian citizens entitled to a fair chare of the national wealth. Are you suggesting that Government should fund others only, and not Muslims ?) Why should the tax-payers' money be spent 'selectively', when there are numerous poor Hindus? (Tax payers%u2019 money must be spent judiciously, fairly, equitably, unaffected by considerations of religion : only of economic criteria, backwardness, lack of education and opportunity, etc., using affirmative action to remove the adverse effects of past di

affirmative action to remove the adverse effects of past discrimination of both types %u2013 pre-independence as well as post.) Is this the meaning of secularism? (Few people in and out of government seem to understand what it really means.) How hypocritical can our politicians and media fellows be? (and some citizens too %u2013 and even misinformed at that.) Please consider all this in an unbiased manner. (You said it. I agree 100% !) Then only you will see the light. And the same to you too.
