The arthimetic does not add up. The Muslims can only be influential only ih Hindus are divided. That's the bottom line. Having said that why is Muslim representation low in parliament if they that influential. It is all in the mind

Here is the trick. MUSLIMS don't fight election directly UNLESS it is their dominated seat. If they fight directly, there is a chance that out of 80%, 40% Majority population unite against Muslim. So, major candidates are Hindu, they fight among thhemselves, have hindu votes distributed, then comes the decider , "MUSLIM vote bank". So even muslims have less representation in parliament, they control it in the name of secularism. Except 1-2 parties, all parties wants to capture the decider vote bank and for this, they can go to any extent, even submitting the country to terrorists.

you Well said David, but you forget one thing or might didn't notice. It is not all about a community having more no. of person. It is about polarization of community. If a community is divided then it losts its significance to the community which is small in size but is united and polarized.

You understood it much late. This is what is happening in our country. In fact, even the tickets are distributed on that basis. The whole country is divided in to Muslim, Hindu, Christian constituencies and if it is a Hindu constituency, then it is further divided in to sub-constituencies for example in Haryana it is jat, ahir, brahmin, baniya etc.

S Muslis are not so much the problem as Hindus divided by caste. Eliminate casteism and you reduce Muslim influence
