Mr. V R Krishna Iyer is not aware that Mata Amritanandamyi Math\\\\\\\'s Amrita Medical College is providing free treatments and costly operations to countless number of poor people. Her institutions are also providing free education to poor students. And to run such an institution serving the poor, you need money. And that money, the rich are willing to pay to educate their children. If Mr. Krisha Iyer wants to know, Amrita Hospital is running in a huge loss. Only by the grace of Amma and Her followers, the institution is kept running. It is very easy to criticize without knowing the facts.
And to talk of the countless other services Amma is doing for the poor, there is no end to it. And Amma has totally owned up the tsunami relief work in Kerala, in addition to Tamil Nadu and Srilanka.
Mr. V.R.Krishan Iyer is invited to Amma\\\\\\\'s Math in Amritapuri and get a first hand account of things happening here.

Dear Shiva, I apologise for not reading your version properly. AMMA has been doing good work by providing education to poor students while charging heavily from those who can afford to pay. I appreciate the efforts and once again sorry for my earlier response. regards, Raja Mohan

Dear Shiva, Thanks for providing more information on charity work from respected AMMA. However, the point mentioned in the article was about education being expensive. Why should one charge heavily and then do charity with that money? I know a doctor in Secunderabad, who is Satya Sai Baba devotee. He charges people like me heavily because I am earning reasonably. At the same time, he charged nothing from many poor people in front of me. I also know a singer who earns lakh a day but sings free for some organizations. I appreciate the efforts from respected AMMA, but expect that the school which her trust runs can offer education to other people as well instead of restricting to only rich people. I understand there are practical difficulties because rich people send to expensive schools only to ensure that all the neobours of their kids belong to same class. But it is not impossible. At the same time, I agree that it is AMMA's trust who decide what is good and what is wrong. At the end, I also want to tell that when I was running a professional course, I charged heavily from NRI's in dollars but reasonable amount from Indian residents. We ran that way for 3 year
