ABSOLUTELY WRONG!

So, are you saying that migrants are coming to Mumbai to make it beautiful for Marathi people? Why can't migrants go to Bihar or say North East to make it beautiful? If migrants have such a noble purpose then why they are not going to UP to help it progress?

This argument is plain stupid. Migrants come to Mumbai and rest of the Maharashtra because they value it. They can see the difference between their native places and Maharashtra.

As far USA is concerned, try sleeping on side walk in USA and they will throw you out in the pacific.

As you have said, USA attracts best minds from all over the world. They DON'T attract people sleeping on side walks and indulging in crimes.

Having said this, I know every Indian has right to go to any place in India but NO Indian has right to illegally grab government land.

And for the Shivsena is concerned, if DMK can talk about TN then Shivsena has RIGHT to talk about Marathi's. Get over it!

Last but not least. Migrants MUST respect Marathis. I would respect Bengali in Bengal and Punjabi in Punjab and I would expect same in Mumbai from non Maharashtrians. If you dont want to do this simple thing then you are inviting bug trouble for yourselves in future. Take it from me!!!!

you are right ,
one should always respect the locals first, wherever he goes to earn bread . its like if you go to someone house and do not cooperate with him and still think of going on staying with him is absurd.

In the latest study, the highest number of poor live in UP followed by Bihar. But the highest percentage of poor (with respect to th etotal population of the state) live in Maharashtra!!!! marathis have a wrong notion of their prosperity; Mumbai is not Maharashtra... there are districts like LAtur too.

Have you been to ANY major US City?

DC, New York, Boston, Chicago are all OVER-RUN with homeless people. Walk around the White House this Summer, and if you meet < 10 pan-handlers, I will buy you a beer.

Hey, U have a wrong notion that taxes generated by Mumbai are used for rest of Maharashtra. Most of Taxes paid by Mumbai goes to centr, only the smaller taxes such as Octroi goes to BMC. Maharashtra spends small amount for rest of Maharashtra compared to Mumbai. U must go to rural part of Maharashtra & see the condition of ppl. U can not imagine 14 hrs of load shedding living in Mumbai.

There is no reservation by Maharashtra govt on the basis of language. Shiv Sainik may be talking abt reservations for Marathis but its not the policy adopted by state govt. I also believe that migrant population is more responsible for development. But it must include Marathis if it has to occur in Maharashtra.

U seem to be a sympathiser of the govt...maybe you're on the govt payroll. There's more to it than what meets the eye... For example, 80% of Maharashtra's revenues gets spent on salaries of state govt employees who hardly do any work. Maharashtra state is the highest employer of people most of whom do nothing but squat on files. The politicians and the entire govt machinery are totally corrupt... You can get details from upright govt officers like Mr Arun Bhatia who worked for underprivileged and deprived tribals and unearthed major scams during his tenure, but was declared unfit and mentally deranged by the politicians and the govt, and Mr G R Khainar who worked to uphold the law. Corrupt politicians and govt officers have sold all of the vast and open spaces reserved for schools, hospitals, gardens, etc. to builders and developers, not only in Mumbai but also in other parts of the state. They call themselves the leaders of the masses, garland statues of Shivaji and Mahatma Gandhi, but own huge farm houses and fleets of imported cars that cost anything from between 20 lakhs to a few crores. The only visible govt activity that's been going on right since independence is to LOOT THE PEOPLE, AND FILL THEIR OWN POCKETS AT ANY COST. No wonder the state is under a huge debt burden that has reached Rs. 1,40,000 crores. One can only hope for the country and for its blind people to wake up.
