Sexual harrassment of men??????????????????
by AMOD KARNIK on Feb 01, 2007 12:05 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Reading some of the messages in this forum makes me want to laugh and puke at the same time!!
Seriously, give us all a break!! Unless you are a Tom Cruise or a Brad Pitt with a Mercedez to boot, women in powerful positions would not even give their subordinates a second look! Women(the minority who stray) generally have a fling with men up in the social ladder, not some non-entity in the organization. So if there is harrassment of men, it is not sexual.
On the other hand, i don't recall even a single incident where i or my friends from College days were ever eve-teased by a group of girls.
Cheap slimy comments, dirty passes, bottom pinching in crowded buses, whistling provocatively, well well, these things are not done by women!!
Even in a corporate setting there are many guys who have a fertile imagination, so even if the female boss is being nice and friendly, there are morons who will draw whatever conclusions they want.
Even if a woman wnats to have a fling, she will have it with a guy who she likes and respects, not some salivating loser.

"On the other hand, i don't recall even a single incident where i or my friends from College days were ever eve-teased by a group of girls."

my modesty has been outraged twice till now, n tht too in the streets of delhi. with tears in my eyes i wud like to tell u tht i have been a victim of adam teasing n am not a tom cruise or a brad pitt n i cant even dream of a mercedes forget abt owning one.... a male friend of mine had a similar experience once.

but the prob is tht it aint any prob for the guys. infact thts like making the cut. one such exp in life will act as an ego booster for life.

i sympathise with women who face sexual harassment at workplace. a strict code of conduct must be followed in every office to put a proper check on this menace. any leniency on the part of the authorities must be dealt with strictly. infact the authorities must be punished in the same way as the sick man who commits the offence.

There is a difference between chivalry and naive, inferior losers with a low mentality that only men chase women.

You belong to the latter group loser. you are as cheap as the eve teasers in your own way

"Women(the minority who stray) " ......do you have nationwide stats of the women of who stray or don't?

"Even if a woman wnats to have a fling, she will have it with a guy who she likes and respects, not some salivating loser."

All these women told you before they had a fling is it? M***n par excellence

This takes the cake off all the stupid comments

"Women(the minority who stray) generally have a fling with men up in the social ladder, not some non-entity in the organization. "

A fling with one up the laddder is less immoral than a one less in the ladder? does that make sense?

Each and every comment in your post is illogical ,senseless and braindead.

Reality is seven oceans away from your comments.

Now on what basis have you drawn the conclusion that i'am a naive guy with an inferiority complex? Basing an opinion on a guy who you have never seen or met is as naive as it can get!!
Drawing conclusions based on your observations(keeping eyes and ears open!!)does not equate to having a complex! Moving around with eyes and ears closed and believing what you want to believe is naive and kiddish. And Satya if you have the simplicity of a country yokel, that is not my problem. If i start tailoring my comments for every stupid hoi polloi like you, then i may have to stoop to the level of a chracterless spineless individual who lives in a fantasy land that has no connection with reality.
Indians are generally fatalistic people - that is a generalization, does it mean that i have nationwide stats on Indians?
"Do you have nationwide stats on who strays and who does not" is as naive as it can get!!
Well, men who do not go around with hungry lecherous eyes and who have an identity of their own are chivalrous enough to give women the benefit of the doubt. Unfortuntely you seem to belong to the category that thinks that any girl is a cheapstake which is not true.Maybe your sense of self worth is just so low that any attention from any plain Jane makes you feel that you are Tom Cruise.... Yuck! Yuck! Having a fling is a personal choice the woman makes, that women are drawn to men who make it in life is known even to teenagers, yet you do not seem to appreciate that simple fact. Leading a hedonistic debauched lifestyle is a personal decision, who are we to moralize? Logic says that every move in the corporate sector has some monetary end!! Having a fling with a senior who can make a difference to a woman's career makes atleast some sense, nothing to be gained by having a fling with a junior, this is just pure logic. Sometimes pure logic does not work, so what is the big deal?
Next time grow up a little bit, and yes add a dash of pragmatic realism, add a little maturity, get a dose of self worth, you unfortunate puny loser and you are not as bad as you think you are!! Seriously Satya, you are not that Bad!!
All the best,
AMOD

When i said that it is a personal decision, i mean to say that she is taking a risk with her life, thats it, it is her life, even if she is my close friend, i should mind my own business.

Dont be biased..yes there are laws to protect women..what do you say about poor men(rather your brothers) who are forced to become slaves in any organizations by the acts of women bosses.. you have seen only the one side of a coin.. you dont know the other side.. why this injustice???
