Mediocrity should never be rewarded and justice was finally done yesterday with the 2 mediocre performances by Ind and Pak being rewarded. Although I wished Inbdia win, I didnt feel it was fair enough. Prem put an icing on the cake, the 17 year old and 18 year old from BD did the job, what were our answers to them. I wont blame the senior players for every loss, getting out when trying to accelerate is not a wrong thing. Dravid, Sachin shouldnt be blamed in this instance). The bigger problem was the unexplained late collapse. Dhoni is overrated and ome of Yuvi and Saurav had to stay till the end (wonder what they were thinking). On most days a 66 with 50 strike rate would be criticised and esp when ya have taken so many balls ya had to finish it. Bhajji has truly proved to be a waste bowler with no wicket taking ability. Anyways this has raised the standard of the competition and is the funnest WC ever. I wish theres never a world cup played in the 3rd rated subcontinent pitches which doesnt give the teams other than top 8 a chance to win. Good luck to India.
The lesson to be learned here for all Indians is that bangladesh is a team on the rise and will dominate cricket in the next few years to come.
It was embarassing to see though how Dravid and commentators like Manjrekar failed to acknowledge that India lost to a better team. They both mentioned that wicket had something to do and was disturbed by mashrafee's pace and accuracy. Interestingly, the spinners from Bangladesh put equal pressure on the Indian team.
All the personalities of India be it sports, films or politics, whoever is in public eye, is abused by the public. They pass their time saying these people are crap when the reality is that the public of India with nothing useful to do is the CRAPPIEST OF ALL PEOPLE ON EARTH. Instead of wasting their time on rediff abusing these personalities, if they could spend their time helping the poor, India and Indians will be much better. But they are too self-obsessed and self-indulgent in their abuse for others that nothing sensible will go into their brains.

What are you doing here sitting in front of the PC and writing up crap? Why don't you walk out of your home and do something for the Poor and the needy instead of wasting your time or commenting/criticizing others? These(Burning effigies) are all the outburst of thier emotions they have towards their country and their team. What ever they do ... would it serve any purpose? NO...But it is thier way of showing thier emotions. Have the Indians setup a place where people can go and show their emotions for it to be shown in a different way? NO. I'm not justifying it But your statement "Crappiest people on earth" is boiling my blood. Have you heard of a fooball player shot/killed for sameside goal during a FootBall world cup? Who are they? Have you seen JFK in USA being killed? who are they? Do not ever say "CRAPPIEST PEOPLE ON EARTH".. you bastard. Sitting behind a closed wall you would say this. IF YOU HAVE THE GUTS , go walk into the Indian street and say that. You will know feel the fire.

Bastard. Instead of saying/typing it, walk to into the street and show your courage. Who are you? Aren't you showing your true colours with abuses? how are you better than the people whom YOU SAID are the "Crappiest people on Earth".
Below is what you wrote which someone has marked it as abuse "fucker come to a maidan i will kick your ass...don't challenge me for a fight...i am not scared of saying anything in public u moron....atleast i dion't abuse indian cricketers..that is better than throwing insults at them when u have not achieved anything in your own life...saala beinchod. supporting vandalism. macchar ki aulad." "
yes indeed the team is world class - world class not on the cricketing grounds but in managing their personal interests. a few things that the govt must do - to atleast save the nations pride and that is (i) pass a bill which prohibits any company seeking cricketers to endorse their products (ii) for every failure the cricketer needs to do compulsory social service and (iii) for the disgrace that these 11 idiots have brought the nation by losing to the bangladeshi's, they must publicly apologise.
shewag should be banned from playing cricket and this in the interests of the game itself.
our bowlers should be sent to bangladesh to develop an attitude
and the board should now seriously consider replacing this current team with the under 16/19 players. the should bring india more glory
SAVE THE INDIAN TIGERS - NOT JUST OUR NATIONAL ANIMAL WHICH IS CLOSE TO EXTINCTION BUT ALSO THE CRICKETING TIGERS WHO WOULD BE SOON EXTINCT IT THEY CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE AND GET ANNIHILATED THE WAY DID YESTERDAY. AND THE BEST WAY TO PEOTECT THIS CURRENT LOT OF THE CRICKETING TIGERS IS TO EITHER CAGE THEM OR SEND THEM TO A FOREST RESERVE. THEY REALLY BELONG THERE.
Guys do you think if Ponting was there after lose of 2 wickets, he will play such a negative game. He would have turned the pressure on the Bangladesh guys, scoring singles and rotating the stike and the people in he downorder would have played with confidence. Definitely there is problem with Rahul Dravid and his character. Also he did not have cricketing mind. First he should not have sent Sehwag, opening should have been Ganguly and Uthappa, 2nd why he depended much on Agarkar, who was bowling all over the place. Instead Munaf should have opened the bowling and that guy is too good and very accurate. Definitely he would got early break through. Then infact Sehwag is good in off spin than yuvraj and tendulkar. Sehwag should have come at the early stage itself. Rahul Dravid is very poor in captaincy and he should have lead in front. Frankly bangladesh guys were showing very good maturity in the game and agression in batting, which our Old experience guys shall learn from them. They deserve the winning considering their all round effort.
RE:Rahul Dravid's Captaincy is Very bad

I tend to agree. The reasons for the defeat could be listed as follows: 1. Even though Dravid said that they should take Bangladesh seriously in words they in reality did not take them seriously and did not give them enough respect. 2. Dravid does not seem to think on his feet. Many of his decisions seems to be like toss of a coin. Sehwag has been struggling. If you really want to get him in form would it be wise to let him play in the middle order when the ball is not moving that much and get his confidence back. 3. Once you started batting and you find that conditions are difficult should have planned for 250 instead of looking for 300 and beyond. Then if you have wickets at the end go for more. In the middle should have focussed on gathering ones and twos with better running between the wickets. You could say that Sehwag and Uthappa got out to moving balls but the rest of the batsmen I feel got themselves out. Tendulkar did not show enough respect to the Bangladesh spinners. Dravid seemed to be so upset that 300 was out of reach playing risky shots. Should have knocked the ball around for ones and two and waited for the bad balls. Yuvraj or Ganguly (one of them) should have played to stay till the end. Once Yuvraj got out there is no need for Ganguly to comitt suicide like that. Dhoni has got into two minds lately. If he hits he should hit hard or push ones and twos. At least Zaheer and Munaf showed some fighting spirit and scored some valuable runs at the end. 4. Once you could not reach 200 it is a difficult task to win since the wicket has become easy to bat. It needs an extradinary effort and fighting qualities to win from that stage and the team did not show it. Agarkar I thoght changed over the years but in big match situations he seems to get very nervous and do not bowl the way he does. Munaf should have been given the new ball.
The Indian team has dug itself into a deep hole. Feel sorry for them. Attacking Dhoni's house and things such as that are not the right things to do.
I feel the same way as most of u do.Feeling of anger, being led down by our heros, our stars. But bruning effigies and throwing stones at their residences would yield no benifits in fact might further take their mind off cricket . We might not win the world cup this time , we have not done so over the last 5 Editions but its best to hope and pray that the team turns things around. Let me take the lead : GO INDIA BHARAT MATA KI JAI P.S.: I am sure if we win the world cup the same people calling for heads and making extreme steps shall be full of praises for the team .

I agree with this. Even last time the same thing happened. We started very badly but reached till finals. Even now if we beat Srilanka and Bermuda we can reach the super 8. Beating Srilanka is definitely doable but not with the current attitude and character. Sehwag is not in form instead bring in Dinesh karthik and throw agargar and bring in Sree shanth, take out Harbhajan and bring in Kumble, we shud be fine. Dravid shall lead from front. He is not showing any character and he is like curd rice.

IF WE WIN THE WORLD CUP.......POOOOOOOOOHHHH PEOPLE LIKE U SPOIL THE COUNTRY... THE ISSUE IS NOT LOOSING THE GAME THE ISSUE IS UTTER LACK OF COMMITMENT BY THESE 11 STUPID , IDIOTS U SAW A BUGGGER YAWNING IN THE FIELD, THE GREAT TENDULKAR SEEMED AS IF HE IS PLAYING BEHIND HIS HOUSE FOR SOME ADVERTISEMENT SEE HOW THE BANGLA KIDS WERE IN THE FIELD... A WHOLE NATION IS LOOKING FORWARD ...AND THESE ***HOLES WERE THE LEAST BOTHERED ABOUT SPINELESS MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!
We lost BECAUSE of GANGULY. He set the tempo of the match and made bangladesh bowlers seem mighty. He opened with Sehwag and made his 50 only in the 36th over. I will not praise him for his 66 in this match. He did not play to his real capacity/experience/talent. I don't know why. Of course no one else played well. I again don't know why. Let Ganguly play his natural real game in next match and I will praise him. Not in this match. He is one of the main cause for our defeat in the first match. Dravid and Chappel are to be blamed for letting the batting go in its own slow course. What prevented them from sending someone into the field and tell the batsmen to increase strike rate? What is the experience factor everyone is talking about? Doesn't simple sense and all the experience say that a run rate of 2.3 at the end of 20 overs will only put pressure at the later course? Ganguly & co. only put pressure on themselves by their snail pace batting and they had enough experience to know it would not help. Of course bangaladesh bowlers bowled decently, but I am not ready to believe they were threatening in any manner.

Dravid and Ganguly are screwing up India. Dravid with his puppett behaviour to Chappell. Including Sehwag and that too as opener when he is totally out of form. A bad tempo to start the WC with. Then Ganguly who is one a mission to avenge his humiliation by Chappell and Dravid. He will make sure that India lose in the league matches by doing everything possible to make India lose.
Time to kick out Dravid and Ganguly.
Sachin should become captain after WC and should lead a totally revamped young team under him. Atleast the team will become good by the next WC when the young blood would be 4 years in experience.

sunny dasgupta,u idiot bengali!Though Ganguli made 66 but he consumed too many balls for the same.He gave the upper hand too bangaldeshis.Openers job is to hit over the top.Its not the first time india had lost two early wickets but ganguly played as if the bangaldseis bowlers are unplayable. He gave negative attitude to batsmen who follwed him.But I agree it was a collective underperformance by all.But ganguly didnt do any good to team as he failed miserably whenever he danced down the track to hit a six or four. Also he ditched the team in the last stages when he should have continued batting aggressively. He really put alot of pressure on dhoni and all tailenders by getting out at wrong time.He knew the pitch as he stayed there for 129 balls but didnt hit any fours or sixes in last overs. but bottomline everybody performed badly except yuvraj and munaf patel.

I completely agree. If we are playing against a weeker opponent, we should play with a killer instinct to increase the NRR and that is exactly Gibbs and his team did. India should learn from big teams like south africa and australia. Now India is forced to win against srilanka with a better margin, which may or may not be possible, with this attitude. Very poor captaincy by Rahul Dravid. If the batting is slow, why he didnt send a pinch hitter to increase the run rate? Why were the spinners not introduced earlier? If India did some experiment and lost the match, just like trying to score some quick runs, that is fine. But, this one shows their poor attitude towards the game.

Madhavan....i think its high time that Seghwag should be rested for few games.Let this be WC and this kind of decision may affect moral badly. But then where is a point for high moral? Also i dont see any logic for Sachin not opening. Its coz we have 4 opener in one match.Sachin Sehwag,Ganguli and Utthappa. And out of those 4 only Sacin is capable of doing good in middle order. He has done best in opening and he shud do that here.I think chappel has done too many experiments. That has destroyed a lot.He tried pathan as alrounder and he forgot his bowling.Bhajji became economical bowler but he doesnt take wickets any more.Sachin has to come at 4 coz of his experiments only.Too much of experiments.
After this tragic loss to Bangladesh, someone needs to take total responsibility and get fired..But i guess in india..saab chalta hai..even this will pass by ...
