Why don't you walk out of your home and do something for the Poor and the needy instead of wasting your time or commenting/criticizing others? These(Burning effigies) are all the outburst of thier emotions they have towards their country and their team. What ever they do ... would it serve any purpose? NO...But it is thier way of showing thier emotions. Have the Indians setup a place where people can go and show their emotions for it to be shown in a different way? NO.
