Keep off from horse trading
by Gopal on Jul 19, 2008 10:49 PM  Permalink

All these kala-bulee is for the sake of just 10% max of total energy at a total cost of 3 lakh crores of rupees scheduled to be spent in 20 years crippling the financial system of India. The waste disposal and safety against radiation hazard is the biggest problem -technically and financially. Twenty years from now Uranium will be a rare material!! The congress is in for any kind of back-door deal to gain support from anybody in the parliament.

I hope there are some congress men still there who can influence the leadership to change the attitude.
It is unpardonable to divide society vertically for the sake of a N-deal -'sign-off' of our sovereignty and freedom. All the good works done by congress will be made opaque by this single act. Let the present congress leaders emulate the old generations of congress leaders who lead freedom movement. At the moment I can only pray to God to give them sense and allow them to think without prejudice and biases.

Why this 'undue haste'?

Let a VIDURA be born in congress to guide them.

Prestige of an individual is nothing when we talk of NATIONAL INTEREST.

Avoid number game. Uphold values in public life.

Keep away from HORSE TRADING!!

Rubbish, You do not know anything. First of all China supports 123 Treaty. It will celebrate now because very soon India will not have any nuclear weapons. Second, India can only buy natural uranium when it will sign NPT i.e., give up nuclear weapons. Australia made it very clear. Now India can get uranium fuel if India will at a great cost buys Tarapur type obsolete nuclear plants from USA.

You mean to say that Indian Government has sold out its sovereign powers to the USA by way of signing the nuclear agreement. I dont think so. The Government of India is aiming the nuclear programme to make India a super power not only in nuclear weapons but also in economy by help creating infrastructurs that are required for the development of the country as an economic super power. No doubt, CPM and CPI are 2 sides of a single coin i.e. parties of dictatorships. They can only preach the welfare of the people and not practice. Take the example of Singrur in West Bengal where when people tried to boycot the Government's demand for acquisition of agricultural land for car project, the party sent its own socalled 'cobra forces' (not comrade) to spit venom on the people during night time. One just cannot trust them. They are always looking for ways and means of expanding their communist ideology of anarchism by helping China so that their vested interest will be protected. China's pretension of support to India for 123 Nuclear Treaty is a political stunt to divert attention of the public. Their secret forces are being assisted by our socalled leftists to help achieve their goal. The "karra(o)ts" and "(b)vardans" are foxes under the garb of lambs. Like Prof. Chandrachudan said "Such things we need not explain to the people" because they do not believe in accountability to the people.

Prof Chandrachoodhan should have kept his mouth shut to this question -Couldn't you instead see this government through the rest of its term and then go and explain your stand to the people? Won't the people then appreciate your honesty?"
His answer is analysed here-
Such things we need not explain to the people. (: Sir it is to the people that you are responsible. To educate them and to improve their understanding int he affairs of the nation will help generate knowledge based society. You have categorically asserted that people should blindly trust you - communist leaders. Is this nation a democracy or are you in doubt?)
It is for the people that we have been fighting for so long.
(:Sir if you were indeed fighting for people, why do you treat the working class as your lot and the rest of the people as useless persons? Your actions as a party typically caters to a vote bank which typically is the employees of corporates and govt services like ports transport etc. Why does your party not work towards improving efficiency of the labour and therefore generate more profits... this will help pay better salaries to the employees!)

Recent developments like price rise and the economic policies of the government are the kind of issues that this government should be concentrating on.
(:Sir if the government was incapable of tackling these issues, why do you not bring it down on that. Why is the nuclear deal being used as a barb. Whom are you trying to fool.. nay why are you expos

Let us have a Referendum

Although the Indian government wants to promote the proposed Indo-US nuclear deal in terms of power generation, the deal has very little to do with power generation. Nuclear power contributes about 2 percent of the current electricity generations in India. At present, India was producing 3,300 MW. In 2020, the production would be 7,000 MW. According to the Planning Commission and the Prime Minister, the capacity of nuclear power would be 20,000 MW in the year 2020. In order to get there India will buy second-hand reactors from the U.S. to produce 13,000 MW of nuclear power. India will have to spend about Rs. 2 lakh crore for reactors and another Rs. 8 lakh crore to set them up with fuel facilities to achieve that goal. The Indian budget is only Rs. 6.5 lakh crore per year. Thus, India will spend two times more than the country’s annual budget on setting up these vintage reactors only. Even if India were to achieve a 50% increase in nuclear power generation (which is unlikely) such a step would only increase India’s overall electricity output by one percent at most, and would only increase India’s overall energy output by a fraction of one percent.
The reason, USA is pushing so hard that India should accept the deal, is, that, this deal is nothing but nuclear non-proliferation treaty in a different name.
If MM Singh is a democrat, he should have organized a Referendum or at least a voting in the joint session of the Parliament.

this argument is all bogus. i will explain point wise. 1. its a truth that we need energy. mostly clean energy.
2. argument is typically leftist, ill informed, short sighted and with no deep thinking.
3. as government has to spend 6 lakh crore for second hand u.s. madepower reactors. this is bogus.
4. government need not spend a penny, all that is required is to open nuclear energy for private indian companies.
5. indian share market has market capitalisaition at least 300 times more than the money required. so companies can raise money in free market.
6. mostly foriegn mutual funds will invest to a certain govt. limited percentage. so u can bye western reactors with their money to start with.
7. power projects in kerala, supported by Russia costs 6000 Cr. for reactors to produce 5000-7500 MW electricity. so u can buy reactors from Russia and France and not the dumped u.s. made reactors.
Mr. Bose yr whole message is good example of leftist short sighted( ? blinded) brain and thinking

Again, I agree with HJ... the left is hoodwinking the nation on the strength of 30 MPs, as "king makers". By themselves, the Left does nothing but put the clock back! Now that they are in a position to dictate terms, the sooner the Government falls, the better it is- for that way, we shall be spared the roaring madmen- the blind men of Gotham! Let BJP come- they will bring in the N-Deal, and kick the Left hard on their made in China buttocks! Let the Congress come, they would be wiser than this time... the Left buttock shall be sore!

It seems you are the agent for the China by the leftists. For your information, my dear, MM Singh did not promote ENRON. It was promoted by "power" hungry people including the leftists. I think they were in their slumber when ENRON came to India and set up shop in the country.

Blunting India's growth
by Guest on Jun 28, 2008 01:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These communist retards - who borrowed their ideology from USSR and China - can't decide who to serve for. Now with the aim of making China a super-power instead of US, are blunting and spoiling India's growth. They seam to serve their masters - like trained monkeys - rather than their homeland.

I feel they have an inferiority complex and very narrow mindedness. They are the ones who is acting like slaves to China, rather than the fear of India being to US - if they sign the deal.

There argument is very childish. If they are very worried about the common man and inflation - they should have by now let the government to sign the nuclear deal and let then concentrate on important matters. But these retards are acting like cry babies for last 2 yrs.

They think they will win the muslim vote - if they appose the deal - but on the other hand they say we are secular. Grow up.

Rightly said about the left. They are shameless people who have transformed west bengal into a poor state. At the time of independence, West Bengal was flourishing with jute trade, port activities, educational institutes, and industrial activity, but look at West Bengal now, after three decades of ruling by communists: poor slums (to be adopted by mother theresa charity organisation)
lack of educational institutes, lack of industrial progress, and the most economically downtrodden people in india. Still they do not want to change. shame on them....

You are all talking rubbish. You know nothing. West Bengal got ruined in 1947 by Gandhi-Nehru-Patel. CPI(M) came into power in 1977, by that time nothing was there.

I agree with you dear. Let us take the example of prosperity they made to their socalled bastion "West Bengal" and "Kerala". The former has lost the credibility to set up any industry despite having all the basic amenities and climate for setting up of industries, more particularly, natural resources while the later has been reduced to a non-producing state, a market for all the manufacturers to try and test market their products. The main source of income, agriculture, has been reduced to a big zero,as day by day people go for converting the farming land into non-agricultural land just because they cant afford farming because of the exhorbitant labour costs as compared to any other part of the country. The State, Kerala has enough potential to set up and nurture industries like the neibouring states of Tamil Nadu or Karnataka but nobody will dare to set up an industry there. Before laying the foundation stone, these socalled peoples will come and oppose the project by their labour unions. They are the ones who is acting like slaves to China, no doubt.

Send P.M., and all present decision making top officers home to offer relief to real issues!
by Gautam nil on Jun 28, 2008 01:32 AM  Permalink

This decision will remain as another historical blot in our Indian history as a strong evidence to show the extent of bad decisions the present so called multi degreed and foreign returned top personalities and beaurocrats could take to plunge the country into darkness! This further stands as a strong evidence to show how much do these so called luminaries fumble to set priorities strictly as per the importance of the burning issues of the nation! Also this goes to show how bad is the administration that is totally unable to organize necessary resources to deploy competent engineers to build up hydro electric power supply by expanding present network of power stations to augment to make it more than self sufficient! Perhaps, the officers and staff have to be chased by competent persons to expand the network to tap from the 90% wastage of water!
Send home P.M., as this is not his personal property and also most of all present I.A.S., and other present decision making officers to be substituted by really competent luminaries, irrespective of present degrees that have proved beyond doubt that they are incapable of taking right decisions and implementing them as per the transparent results perceived actually which have plunged the nation into complete chaos in all fields almost, if the largest majority of the people will have to survive!
