kaash hindustaan aajad nai hota
by krishan soni on Jun 26, 2008 09:04 AM  Permalink

1) na ye hindu-mulism ladte.
2) na ye neta hindustan ko barbaad kartey.
3) na ye kafan ke & chhare ke pese khatey.
4) na hi itney ghotale hotey.
5) kya mila? gore hindustaan ka pesa kha gaye?
abhi bhi to 80% log $2 daily se kam me jeevan yapan kartey hain. and koi bhi MLA, MP, CM, GOVERNER gareeb nahi hain.
6) gorey hotey to kam se kam itna corruption nahi hota.

gandhi & nehru ne aazaadi ke time kabhi ye nahi socha tha ki ye neta sirf apni pocket bharney ke liye hi hindustan pe raaz karenge.

aaj ladai hai to sirf pese ki, koun kis chair pe bethta hai, kis chair pe beth ne se jayda pese kamaye ja saktey hain.
chair akele ki nahi hai to koi baat nahi baant lenege. PER DIL ME EK DHOKEBAAZ CHUPA HUA HAI " agar mera kaam nahi bana to sale ki kursi gira dunga"

What abt BJP?
by Libran on Jun 25, 2008 09:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Analysis is good. But what abt BJP? What is their Stand? Most of their supporters want N-Deal but BJP wants to oppose it just to deny Congress the credit. So if Congress is conspirig to make its own govt fall, BJP is very unclear abt what they should do! Real pathetic scene for India!

Libran, Your impressions on BJP's stand may not be the correct picture.
News reports have quoted L.K.Advani as saying, in effect, "BJP will re-negotiate this Indo-US Deal to clarify that Indian can conduct more tests." He also added that BJP is for a strategic relationship with the USA.
This does not sound like BJP is denying "credit" for Congress. If you examine what BJP stands for on a number of issues, there is greater clarity than Congress. ToI conducted an "on-line" poll which showed that about 84% people who responded favour further tests, as BJP has stated.
Unfortunately, our news media do not publish or even investigate what BJP's stand is. Indian media is mostly giving negative publicity to BJP. But media analysts will be able to show Congress gets the benefit of "positive spin" more often than BJP. Bad-mouthing the BJP is second nature to a number of JNU - type leftist Hindu intellectuals (usually holding a US green-card or a son or daughter studying there - some with secret bank accounts abroad). They will bad-mouth BJP even more severely, if there are muslims around.
I am not supportive of the BJP on every issue. I think, for instance, they badly mishandled the "Ayodhya Agitation". Demolition of anything is hooliganism. No party should have supporters like that who will misbehave in that manner. But, at least, I find them rather more sincere than Congress. SINCERETY as a quality is absent in most Indian political parites, except the BJP.

Nuclear Deal and India
by Rajan on Jun 25, 2008 08:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Very thought provoking article.
As expected deal discussion is only a eyewash.
Left and UPA are very much worried about their poll prospects. Unless voting percentage goes up and so called educated come and vote in large numbers, this type of situations will continue.
GOD SAVE INDIA

The Remedy For Incompetence is Sincere Effort to become Competent
by Kris iyer on Jun 25, 2008 07:31 PM  Permalink

Congress is no doubt a political party. But 'politicising' everything [such as raising the MSP] is NOT good politics. Often a sound political party must take decisions that may not give it 'immediate political returns'.

On these two points, Congress is NOT a sound political party. It does NOT deserve to be a national level party in India. The voters know it already. It is a shame that it has become "a wheeler-dealer party of mediocres". So, it is being gradually removed from its high pedestal. In a country like India, it is NOT enough to formulate policies but to supervise the implementation adequately.
Take the Employment Guarantee Scheme. When NGOs expose the corruption there is, people like Lalit Mehta get murdered. This and Satyendra Dubey's murder too exposes the need for India's political parties to devote time to ensuring proper implementation of their policies.

Congress has been "too political", - meaning it has sacrificed good policies and processes for temporary political gains - has been too much in love with staying in power (as now) and has set a bad example to every other political party in power.

Hawa of nuclear politics

A well analysed article by Mr. Shenoy. Keep it up. A minority congress government with left and the right parties having only 20 to 30% of vote share of 50% votes polled are fooling one billion people. This should be published in guiness book of records.

Beware!
by himuz bs on Jun 25, 2008 05:22 PM  Permalink

200 years back if we all remember this is how britishers ruled us as they found tremendous wealth in this country. Today again America is repeating history. We already are so dependent on them that one day they stop work 3/4th of Indian population will be jobless. 50% of the population I am not sure what they will do if one day we do not have computers to work, we have become so dependent on America for their technology and their business that we are almost E-Slaves to this country and I guess the nuclear deal will be the final nail in the coffin. Unless a nation is not self reliant I guess Mr Kalam has to wait for maybe another 300 years to realize his dream of India becoming super powers with so called politicians (can we call them jokers) ruling and dividing the country like a piece of cake and eating it to their heart's content when the rest of the countrymen are left hungry. And this is progression, civilization and growth in economy... what a shame!

I agree to the rise in Uranium prices and the govt. untimely announcement to raise the MSP.
There is no point is raising the MSP after the sowings have happened. Simply goes to demonstrate the poor manner in which the congress runs the govt.
