I think you have a short memory.... Weakest PM was Vajpaee....even RSS acknowledge this..... It was Vajpaee who always threathen to quit.....I think you are following politics from last two year.... Grow up kid !!
He has suffered enough humility from his party members and especially his China favoring allies. After all he is the Prime Minister.. supposed to be the most powerful person in the country. Every now and then his remarks are brutally lashed upon by his allies.. no one considers him seriously any more. The allies talk to Sonia Gandhi for any decision being taken. For what purpose he is continuing as the PM. Just for the sake of historical records.. ?? I think for four years as a PM are enough for that or for that sake even 1 day as a PM is enough.. because then too your name would be published everytime in the GK books and you will get a govt bungalow.. heavy pension and security personnels for life. Is it for this purpose he is continuing as the Prime Minister ? People surrounding him have made him crippled. And regarding the G-8 summit.. he is not trying to save his personal prestige. He represents the country as the Prime Minister and the prestige of this position is the prestige of 1.3 billion people of the country. A weak leader as few people have made him should never represent the country in such a summit of great importance. I am a die hard follower of BJP but among all the politicians I rate Manmohan Singh very high because of his sheer intellect and humbleness. If the parts of a car are faulty or incompatible with each other.. one should not blame the driver for poor riding performance. Its right time for the driver to leave the car. Lets see who can drive it.
India can buy nuclear reactors from US, Russia, France etc without signing NPT!!! well, what more can we ask for???? As for testing is concerned, it wont happen for a decade at least...China and Pak are working towards a nuke deal.......karat,bardhan and yechury!!! well, pity that congress has to ask permission before these people for acting on national interest.........

You know crude oil prices are allset to touch $200. Thats why alternate energy source is so imp.
Some times wonder if the crude oil is a US game to put additional preassure on India. With crude prices rising every now and then bargaining for nuclear fuel will be even more difficult in the future

Yes, I agree that the oil prices are rising and oil supply dwindling the world over, it will not last for ever and alternative fuel is needed. The question is why we have to make a deal over it with USA,India should have all the rights to develop and use nuclear energy without asking USA or any other nation for the matter. Why do we need any ones permission to do waht ever we in India wants to do. does any another nation asks India for permission on similar issues.

You guessed right, Mr. Maverick... I wrote about this on the board when the news of crude price touching $130 was published. It is truely the pressure game of US. Does that not mean the NPT is in interest of US and not in India's favour?

This deal is about the US putting some fine nuclear cheese on a mouse trap and the great Indian smelly rat is trying a way to get the most out of the cheese with the least amount of trap damage to itself.... The PM got his thing caught in the trap it seems :D

What world you live in Sheetal???? Anyways, here are some points to your GK start going.. - There is a dearth of infrastructure facilities/ projects in our country. We need lots and lots of iron and steel for heavy industries to work on these projects. So we need lots of power supply. - Our current power generation capacities are not sufficient to meet our domenstic demands. - Other than HydroCarbon energy, we have not done enough research on solar or other sources of energy. - Our current nuclear plants are based on Uranium fuel and to run those we need Uranium fuel which we may get from NSG(Nuclear Supply Group) - We have largest Thorium base in Jharkhand but again we do not have enough technical skills and research for nuclear reactors to run on Thorium. Our most learned president, Dr. Kalam had pointed out this long time back but government have not shown any initiative, like they always do. - Austrailia largest Uranium supplier have already said NO to us because we have not signed NPT. Result is, we have two nuclear plans ready to be commission are put on hold for indefinite time. - If we get this deal, we not only get Uranium to run our reactors but we also get necessary technology for power and energy base industry. - Left is opposing this deal because they feel that India can not perform Nuclear Test but this is not true. India have already said NO to Hyde act and thus can perform Nuclear Test if situation demands that.

Can anybody Guess what is the common word for Congress and Left.
UPA is termed as Marraige between Congress and Left.In most discussions they are discussing whether they should continue their Honeymoon or not.
So the common word for both Congress and Left is Ch*du if they Continue, Ch-o-du if they Discontinue........................................................

Unreliable reports say that CPI (M) will announce the changing of its emblem to a CONDOM as it might accurately reflect its present political stance A condom allows inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, And gives u a sense of security while u r actually being screwed!

How dare you to insult our beloved commies. Communists and Condoms do not fit in one box, because contraceptive use is aginst **llah's wist. Anyththing aginst **llah's wish is against commies wish. Let's look at WB and kerela and in general in India, how these **llah's followers population is raising.
