Don't forget in south(TN), the vanniar sangam was very active around 1980. They once blocked roads for seven days. Later they got separate reservation for 20 per cent. Due to these things the reservation in TN went upto 69 per cent.

YES. WHEN YOU GO FROM BANGALORE TO CHENNAI -- YOU CAN SEE VANNIYARS SITTING NEAR THE RAILWAY TRACK AND PASSING BOWELS. 20 YEARS OF RESERVATION DID NOT TEACH THESE LOW LIFES ABOUT MINIMUM DECENCY AND HYGENE

In my opinion the whole problem has been created by Bihar. OBC population of Bihar is enjoying loin's share in OBC quota upto 90%. Gujjar brothers also part of OBC quota. Justice can be done to the OBCs of India if the Parliament decides to divide the jobs in central Govt. as per population of that state. Suppose if the there are 30% obcs in bihar and 10 % in Haryana and 5% in Rajasthan, the distribution should be 30 jobs for Bihar, 10 jobs for Haryana and 5 jobs for Rajasthan and like that on a scale of 100. This is only solution. India is a federation of States but certain states are getting more quota jobs that due to them. For SCs and STs also the same formula should apply. But because there is all India shortfall in ST quota this category should be excluded. Unless some quota is fixed for Bihar, the problem will continue. This is written without offence to any of my countrymen, please think patiently and create public opinion or give some other formula. hurling abuses is necessary except creating bitterness. Many people in SC/ST/OBC community are very rich and should come forward in leaving the jobs for poor in their community. I think you are all aware that today 85% jobs are filled by SC/ST & OBCs. If safaikaramcharies and armed forces and para military forces and police are taken into account the share of non-SC/ST/OBC communities will be less than 5% at national level. Govt. should bring out a white paper on the whole issue rather than playing politics

you may agree or not but there have been people in government and banks and public sector undertakings who misused their position to promote the interests of their families and friends or took bribes to give jobs, but now the reservation is should be reduced on yearly basis

Hello Gurjar ,
You are very true ....so that they be made IAS officers without holding any exams ...and put country to ransom ...and always remember that it was people from other communities also who fought in those wars ...so what it means that they too shud come out with demand for reservation ...i guess qualification and exp. shud be the sole criterion for selection rather than reservation./....
Gujjar brothers , i know many of you have come to golden temple for blessing in recent past. I will suggest to have look and get your self be true singhs of guru gobin singhji. It will give you strength

My message is for the Gujjar brothers in rajistan. They are at the receving end for long time under the current circumstances
Thousands of devotees including a delegation of scholars from Pakistan today offered urs prayers at the shrine of revered Gurjar saint Mian Nizamuddin Larvi in Ganderbal district, J&K.
The annual celebration ended at Wanghat Kangan village, 40 km from here, with the release of a Gojri language publication entitled 'Gojri ka Lal' depicting the life and works of the master.
The 356 page collection of research papers is edited by Cultural Officer of the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Javaid Rahi.
Rahi said the Gojri wing of the Academy has taken out 20 publications. "We are translating 50 world classics into Gojri and 12 have already been published," he said, adding more books on the Gurjar Sufi tradition were in the pipeline

So how did Gurjars become so backward that they want to be considered a backward tribe?

Do you have any policy to assimilate into mainstream Indian Society? What you say seems to an isolationist idea. What is your take for the nation? And how would you reward the country which give you so many benefits like reservation, for your above average life style in a poor country?

Venkat, you seem to be ignorant. Certain unparlimentary words if detected will result in automatic removal of the Post. Rediff must be having something like a spell-check to mechanically screen the messages! No one must be reading them!
