OBC Quota
by satyamevjaitea on Jun 09, 2008 09:13 PM

In my opinion the whole problem has been created by Bihar. OBC population of Bihar is enjoying loin's share in OBC quota upto 90%. Gujjar brothers also part of OBC quota. Justice can be done to the OBCs of India if the Parliament decides to divide the jobs in central Govt. as per population of that state. Suppose if the there are 30% obcs in bihar and 10 % in Haryana and 5% in Rajasthan, the distribution should be 30 jobs for Bihar, 10 jobs for Haryana and 5 jobs for Rajasthan and like that on a scale of 100. This is only solution. India is a federation of States but certain states are getting more quota jobs that due to them. For SCs and STs also the same formula should apply. But because there is all India shortfall in ST quota this category should be excluded. Unless some quota is fixed for Bihar, the problem will continue. This is written without offence to any of my countrymen, please think patiently and create public opinion or give some other formula. hurling abuses is necessary except creating bitterness. Many people in SC/ST/OBC community are very rich and should come forward in leaving the jobs for poor in their community. I think you are all aware that today 85% jobs are filled by SC/ST & OBCs. If safaikaramcharies and armed forces and para military forces and police are taken into account the share of non-SC/ST/OBC communities will be less than 5% at national level. Govt. should bring out a white paper on the whole issue rather than playing politics
