Dear Mr Shenoy, it is a very impressive article from you. But after the whole lot of comments, don't you feel that you have been too mild on your comments on these politicians. till the time the people of this country come out of their shelves on the streets & sweep out the political dirt, nothing is going to change, yes, the people will have to change things, not the administrators filling in their day of paper work

Well it again closed at $138/bbl yesterday. Very poorly timed article. Unfortunately the world today is left to speculator's whims and vagaries - be it food or fuel...

There is a widespread feeling that forward trading is responsible for the price rise, but there is no evidence for this. In fact, the committee appointed by the Government of India found that there is no evidence that forward trading leads to price rise. Forward trading existed when crude oil was trading at US$25 a barrell.
"This really is the root of the problem. What development activities are they talking about? Are you getting an assured supply of electricity, without wild fluctuations? Do you get clean water around the clock? Have the potholes in the roads in your town been filled up? Does anyone believe that the local government schools or the primary health centres are functioning adequately? (Or functioning at all!) So where is the money going?"
These are good questions. And here is the answer, the left wing gonads in the UPA are basically clueless about developing anything. The only thing they were successful at was making India a leader of the non-aligned movement. In terms of importance that ranks the same as coming first in a farting competition, but is not as important
There was an article in the Indian Express stating that the NHDP(National Highway Development Project) has progressed the slowest this year in a decade. But this should not come as a surprise. The UPA has never been known for development. They keep harping on how they started liberalization in India. There is not one positive thing that they have done since then (1991).
i do not need to be a BJP supporter to agree with each word of the article . NOr do i care if the author is a BJP sympathiser or not !! because it does not take a genius to draw the same conclusions as made above . I mean who needs facts figures , surveys ets when you can see the mess all around you with your bare eyes???? what has this govt. acheived in the past 4 years that we can be proud of ?? HIghways , ports , agriculture , urban infrastructure all has come to a standstill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. then they say MMSis a decent PM.. arey bhai deceny ka achaar daalna hai!????? kuch kaam karo PMji ,nahi to apni jagah khaali karo

Well there is no need for a genius to understand where the money is going . It is being distributed to congress persons as for the last 50 yrs or so who hold some post or the other in the money distribution network be it in any of the no of rural development schemes,projects,... and also to the respective vote banks like the contractors who are supposed to carry on this development and what actually is done is for anybody to see. 80% to 85% of the money is gulped up by these guys and rest is somewhat spent which hardly matters. This is the same story which congress repeats all the time when in power
The money is going for congress and cmmie MPs and election funds..no debveleopment..thats what these congies have been going for 50-60 years and our fool pseudo seculars supporting them..agreed all politicians cheat..but no tlike these buggers..they are looters of indian charactor and ethoes
