Congress was a party that went against Nuclear test Pokran II, Now it wants inspection on all our nuclar plants, but neither gaurantes supplies of fuel to them , nor has an out clause for inspection. Remember these nuclear plants are used to make bombs not for energy which nuclear is a far more risky and enviromentally sensitive.
RE:RE:Historic blunters

Sorry Nuclear energy especially the first generation technology touted by the government dependent of Uranium technology is the wrong approach to nuclear energy having examples of Three Miles Island, Chernobyl which even the American's have given up this fantasy and not built a single nuclear plant since the 1970's. When our scientist have made many breakthrough like development of Fast Breeder technology on the commercial scale which has the ability by estimates of our AEC chief of giving 500,000 Mwe and almost unlimited supply of bomb making Plutonium, and When we are waiting for the government go ahead which has cut the budget for Thorium plant. The commercial scale AHWR thorium plant having the only worlds only nuclear reactor that runs on U-233 a fuel derived from thorium, we should focus on technology that are both environmentally safe and less risky higher generation technology like this AHWR. Why is government emphasizing imports, dependence, and inspection of our own technology while Pakistan and china is not loosing one nuclear plant capacity to produce bombs.
There is no justification except the government and PM Singh statement being formally against India’s nuclear program and testing in Prokran II. His goals of making India part of nuclear main stream, meaning NPT
nuke energy is an issue that is above party considerations. let every member of every party vote as per his understanding of the issue, including the gandhi party.

scratch my remarks. the vote is not on the nuke deal; it is on the govt which is an unholy alliance of horse trading crroks presided over by a liar prime minister and a scheming dirt-dealing foreigner sonia in the avatar of east-india-company 2.
bjp must b given fair chance 2 do its best in being instrumental..in bringing down this govt...afterall since ages..it had been wid both cong n bjp 2 oppose each other on any issue ..whether its gud or bad...this had also happened that several issues were processed ..when bjp was in govt...but when cong came in power n procced wid same issues..bjp as a oppostion party oppose it...same is d case wid this nuke deal....but bjp dont hv that much currency as cong has...cong can cum down only if few of our respected MPS dont like indian currency...

Congress introduced economic reforms and supported NDA on the reforms during its tenure.. unlike BJP after loosing poweer congress never went back and took a weird position!! BJP sent Vajapyee to pakistan, congress supported it.. what bjp is doing? they arrange the patent bill, then lose elections and next day declare that they will vote against the bil... they go to the US ask for deal, couldnt even get 50% of present MMS deal, then today opposing UPA and trying toppling game... what kinda politics it is??? is advani a joker????

:) Southie:
BJP has supported Congress till now isn't it? Congress sent Manmohan to China, BJP supported it.. (in line with your expectation of support.. :-) Congress sent Manmohan to Japan, BJP supported it... :) Congress sent Mukherjee to Australia, BJP supported it... :)
They GO to the US to ASK for deal?.... You make it sound as if they went begging to Bush?.... Whereas its the other way round.... look at Bush jumping up and down for the deal.... its a different matter that Congress couldn't use his anxiety to negotiate anything better... :)
I don't know about Advani, but I'm sure about you...:)

NDA govt put the barbed wire fences along with border between kashmir and pakisthan, punjab vs paksithan and rajathan vs pakisthan. hence now cross border terrorism is reduced very much but from bangaladesh to assam, bangaladesh to west bengal, borders are open due to the attitude of congress and communists govts ruling these states as they want more muslims from bangaldesh to settle down in assam and west bengal so that hindus raising and hindus votes would be curtailed. now the result is many blasts that took place in the recent past is from cross border terrorism from bangaldesh only. so judge which party has national interest bjp or congress/communists ?
Every important country has dynamic, young leaders. Bush - started at 46 Blair - was PM at 44 Sarkozy - 51 Hu Jintao - 60 Barack Obama (Next US President) - 46
Now take our leaders Manmohan Singh - 75 Vajpayee - 85 Advani - 81 Jyoti Basu - 96 Karat - 58 (but thinks like he's 100) Bardhan - 77
No wonder our country looks and sounds so thakela. What a shame in a country where 60% of Indians are below 25 years.
you guys just write because you just want to prove that you had analyze the situation very well...and which communal force you are talking about ...who is not communal... tell me one party which is not communal....

What's the difference between day and night? Both happen on the earth, innit?... :)
You catch one, two or three criteria to compare, and I can prove that there is no difference between Obama and Osama (both are human beings, and both reside on earth).... There is no difference between Congress and BJP (both comprise of politicians, both have PM candidates born in Pakistan)...
The BJP camp is nervous, jittering, desperate and keeping fingers crossed till Tuesday. What they have failed to assess is that the UPA camp may spring a surprise or two to upset all the calculations. The recent being the cancellation of the briefing of IAEA members slated on July 18. If what was reported was true, then all efforts of the BJP and allies to bring down this Govt of Manmohan Singh would come to nought. Its because the Left would be satisfied and hence may not vote against the Govt. Besides, all the secular parties will join hands to defeat the communal forces led by BJP. This would become reality on Tuesday when the Trust Vote is taken on the floor of the House. UPA Camp too is not a happy lot. It is now resigned to the reality as the requisite majority is still elusive. The independents and other splinter groups are demanding their pound of flesh. JMM leader Soren's wish list including Coal portfolio for him. Similar demands may be brought before the PM by these splinter groups. This is an unending process and headache is ahead for him. Should these headaches and blackmailing is required to win this vote. PM should think seriously. The option before him is to tender resignation before the trust vote is taken and face the elections. He can go to the people and explain the circumstances under which he took the extreme step.It was worth taking risk as echoed by Rahul Gandhi. The other option is face the vote and be happy with whatever happens in the nation interest.

Because Advani knows that he is already 81 and somehow, has to crack the PM post now. It is true when they say that senility catches up with the old.
