My parents migrated from Andhra to Telangana and I was born and lived all my life in Telangana. I don't care if someone categorizes me as Andhra or Telangana and I'm OK with either way. I wish my AP is united but I also see a benefit in dividing the state. First of all I empathize with the people of Telangana and feel sorry for them and I hate Telangana politicians for raking up this issue just to gain political mileage and nothing else. If costal Andhra becomes a separate state then the per capita GDP increases many folds due to its agricultural output and its huge Oil and Gas exploration. On the other hand the Telangana state will receive lot of central funds for its inability to generate its own revenue. The best part is that I have 2 CMs and two state capitals. BTW, I cannot imagine the fate of Rayalasema. I'm sure Tamil language will try to spread into it. May be my Sema brothers will defend their language with crude bombs and faction leaders or just surrender to Tamil language.
Veerendra Moili claimed today that Telangana can be formed only if majority of the Political parties agree on it. IS CONGRESS DOING THINGS ONLY WHEN ACCEPTED BY ALL POLITICAL PARTIES. WHY ARE THEY SO ADAMENT ON NUCLEAR DEAL WHEN THEIR OWN ALLY COMMUNICST? WHY DID VONGRESS ENCOURAGE OR WERE MUTE SPECTATORS TO NANDIGRAM WHEN WHOLE COUNTRY WAS CRITICIISNG? NOW THEY SAY THEY WANT TO CONSIDER POLITICAL PARTIES OPINION. WHY DOUBLE STANDARDS? CONGRESS IS CHEATING TELANGANA PEOPLE HAVING TOTALLY DAMAGED THE FABRIC IN TELANGANA WHICH WAS LAND OF MILK & HONEY. telangana issue is very simple......it was a separate state to b formed in 1956 itself(after first SRC)...but at that time we didin't have a powerful leader like KCR.....so andhra and rayalseema people colonised telangana and thereby that part of andhra bcom poorest in entire south india whereas andhra ppl bcom very prosperous and powerful.....in 1970 violent telangana statehood movement happened and telanagana praja samiti won 10 of the 14 lok sabha seats present then.....but authoritarian rule of indira gandhi prevented formation of telangana....but now telangana wave is engulfing the region and erstwhile unification parties like tdp of CBN are changing their stand now....devender goud(former home min)and leading leader of tdp from telangana himself told that he supported telangana statehood.....in congress cwc member venkatswamy(former union cabinet min)also told that he wil resign from congress if statehood is not given.....bjp already supports telangana and so is mayawati's bsp.....only communists who r all set 2 b extinct in telangana state is against giving statehood for telangana....but still congress wil most probably give new statehood for telangana bcoz else they will not even win a single state from this vast region and telangana will bcome another UP or bihar for congress...in last election cong manifesto promised new telangana state but they r now changing their stand...even cong mp's has said that they will resign from party if statehood is not given
kudos to kcr ........it seems he is the only brave leader in entire TELANGANA.......he is the proud son,brother and father of all telanganaites.....now it is certain that no force in earth can prevent formation of separate telangana state.....bjp must make an alliance as that party is better than anti-national congress in centre and trs-bjp alliance will win at least 14 of the 17 lok sabha seats in telangana region.....we will also win 3/4 th majority in assembly.....kcr will bcome the first cm of telangana and andhra colonisers of telangana like ysr redyy will lose their deposits.....if bjp joins trs in telangana then they can emerge the 2nd powerful party in telangana state.....or else they will also perish like congress
Whats the issue of telengana in AP. Is telenganait doesnt speak telugu? If so then as per SRC states were divided based on language only. It is also known only andra guys started this divisive politis.asking andhra from madras state. Now why these cry again on some ohter region within their state. This disintegration ideology is not good for country on the whole. People should realise this

you also seemed to be educated illeterate.. Telangana was always a separate state.It was merged into andhra against the wishes of telangana ppl..
Telangana's language,culture,food habits,customs etc are all different from that of andhra..

Iam not well connected with AP but india knows not many greats are in andhra as such.. except leaders like NTR who gave them some status in the country.
For my understanding -
1. Do telenganaits speak telugu 2. When does telengana existed before independence? 3. Do all the districts of other AP are well developed? 4. Hyderabad also part of telengana? if so how andhra leaders make it most developed than any other city in AP.

1)most telanganites speak telugu......hindi is spoken more than 10 states.....so u want each of these states 2 b made together into 1.....ie a state with up,bihar,rajasthan,mp,delhi,haryana,hp,uttarakhand,jharkhand,chattisgarh together????? 2)telangana was ruled by nizam b4 independence whereas andhra was part of madras prcidency 3)most districts in andhra are comparitively much much developed that rural telangana 4)hyderabad is part of telangana....only hyderabad is better developed....visit rural telangana and u will also join us in wanting a new state....condition is soo much horrible....its even worse than bihar....ppl even think nizam rule was better than current rulers

1) You seem to be confused. People in the states you referred also speak hindi apart from their native language. Like in south some can speak,write and read hindi. 2) ok this was nizams state. As per you in those days all telenganas were so developed but then there was 'suppression' goin on that Ramanujan movement started for liberation. So effectively telengana was never a fully prosperous place like any part of india. Next, we all know nizams were pro PAK and to think telengana was better in their rule doesnt augur well for your own state besides bein an indian citizen.
My contention is if no devp is done in telengana till now, what those MPs/MLAs were doing. Also see what happend to the latest new states like chattisgarh, jharkhand, uttaranchal etc where there is no difference to the life of aam admi. Because same kinda leaders rule them even today. We know chattisgarh is naxal state similar to telengana would be tomm. Realise the need to have a strong growth oriented rule first and then noone raises

Hyderabad(telangana ) state was an independent state from 1948 to 1956..Hyderabad was the richest state when it was merged into andhra..Telangana ppl were hell bent on clubbing the state with andhra (which didn't even have a city to name as a capital also).But the shrewd politicians from andhra made false promised and they could influence the centre for the merger..
Even while the merging took place,Nehru announced that,ppl of telangana can separate as soon as there's some indifferenct..
Coming to the language,telangana telugu has many urdu words and the slang is totally different from the andhra telugu(its like Haryanvi and bihari)..
other districts(apart from telangana ) are very well developed with the funds from telangana state(hyderabad city in particular)..
Hyderabad was the richest and most developed city before the merger,now its 5th in the list..

Mr. Strite, What happened post independence is to eliminate the history of each land. Andhra had great leaders since time immemorial. There were only 3-4 languages on the currency of India during British era-Telugu was one of them. On some coins there were only two languages, English and Telugu. Innumerable number of Telugus sacrificed for Freedom. Jaya Pattabhi was congress president. Even after the caste based ticket giving from 1950 on wards, Three of the Indian presidents were Telugu. One of the Prime Ministers was Telugu. The chief minister who presided over the merging of Telengana, knew that he was going to lose his job-but he sacrificed for the greater good of the state and reduce the influence of Rajakars connected to Pak agitating for merger or independence like they are doing in Kahsmir at that time. If he did not sacrifice then, Telengana would have been another Kashmir. In general Indians are not only less knowledgeble of their country's history but also are missing gratitude. If one lists the freedom fighters and scholars from Andra, the list is huge. NTR was just a popular actor, not scholar or freedom fighter. Naidu put Andra on world map. If we can see beyond our own caste and not suppress others because they are not our caste, we will find great people in every state.

Khudabaksh, We are Indians. States are made for administrative convenience. There was nothing in Telangana for Andhras to loot. It has Hyderabad which is convenient location that Mohamad been Tuglak wanted to make it the capital of India. If the division of Andra is good for administration due to increased population, it is ok. No one who divides the people is Mahatma from any angle. Telangana would not have exited if Patel's army did not march, or even if Gandhi was alive-it would have been south Pakistan. Both the Andras and Telangans speak telugu in different dialect and there is absolutely no need to split the state.

Only BJP can fulfill the creation of Telengana as this party commited to creation of smaller states for good administration.This time the peoples of Telengana will vote in mass for BJP.

Lukas, If you look at the political scnario it is easy to explain. If Telegana is separated, Andhra state will never elect congress to power. The Telugudesam is a Kamma caste supported party and they hold power in Andra. Telengana can be congress for a short while but will have their own party or will go to BJP. essentially congress will be wiped out from South except in Kerala, if they divide the State.
