By banning youtube for so called "blasphemy", the Pokistani community has proven its insecurity. This is just a reflection of how hard but brittle is their community.

Insecurity my foot, No society will be able to do any constructive work if people go on abusing others, Its a good move to block Youtube. Please block all the porn content too. We support when government bans drugs and sex trade, why dont we support the government when it imposes ban related to moral values? As no one can keep track of every video posted on Youtube its better to block it. Freedom of expression doesnt mean spreading gossips, conspiracy theories, hatred. As parents teach their children whats right and whats wrong, government too should act attimes.

Yes, it would be a good move if the Govt. bans studies in madrassas as some of the terrorists caught in Bangalore recently had some form of involvement in a madrassa? They even had supporting literature to wage jihad. Would you agree with this?
We must learn some lesson from Japan, Korea, China. Though in these country, their ancient religion is Buddisms but present generation gave-up religion. they consider temples and shrines as historical momuments. they don't follow any religion activites or prayers.
Even they hate those who talks about religion. Since I am living in Tokyo, So I can say how well mannerd, helpful they are! and how developed they are! how devoted they are for work. They really follow region of humanity.
Why don't we could do so?? Any kind religion is the root of all kinds of problems. It sounds strange and difficult to digest for extremist.
But it is only solution for all problems. Guy what do say!!!

How can you conclude that religion is the root cause of problems? I find religion as the only solution to problems. Religion atleast Hinduism never teaches any hatred and its always flexible. It might have worked in Japan and other countries but it will not work in India. Also understand that we have a form of living which passed the test of time...now with our constrained knowledge donot draw any inferences. You are defining development only in terms of Economics..its just an angle of development. Japan comitted many attrocities on Humanity and so they reacted in knee jerk way to be on the path of Non-violence, India have a different form of experience, we reacted to oppression in a non-violent way...so dont try to impose what you saw in other countries on India. You would not like the entire population following christianity and speaking english 100yrs down the line. Diversity is the only way that we can solve different problems nature pose to Humanity. I strongly disagree with your idea of Religion, I feel you never knew what religion is. Study Hindu scriptures deeply, dont infer reading the superficial things..every thing a religion teaches is strongly related to Humanity. So friend first know your religion properly and then you can demean religion

There is no problem is respecting any religion but problem start when you are ready to do anything and anytime for your sake of religion.
Big temple people or trust have billion's for spreading religion and keep people divide.

Interesting thought. Just want to know one thing, is it voluntary or is it the state policy? If voluntary, then its a great thing but in countries (especially China) the government decides what the people should do. Religion is a very personal thing and it would be depriving one of his basic human right.
I personally feel that religion is not the problem but the inabilty to respect other's religion is the real root of the problem. Politicans also dont help..........
Btw great to have thought provoking posts like urs on rediff....unfortunately most of the posts here are hate-mails.

It is also good if you don't care any religion and prefer to do what you want within a limit and for sake of humanity. But it is not good to say religion it root of all problems. All religion is for spread love not war, ya there are some people who use to spread rumour for their personal advantage.
If some one of particular religion speak any thing wrong abt another religion all community is not responsible for that it is that antisocial element who is doing so and he will have no respect for his own religions as well, they are politicians.
So, no religion is bad, all is for sake of humanity and for peace.......
