How can you conclude that religion is the root cause of problems? I find religion as the only solution to problems. Religion atleast Hinduism never teaches any hatred and its always flexible. It might have worked in Japan and other countries but it will not work in India. Also understand that we have a form of living which passed the test of time...now with our constrained knowledge donot draw any inferences. You are defining development only in terms of Economics..its just an angle of development. Japan comitted many attrocities on Humanity and so they reacted in knee jerk way to be on the path of Non-violence, India have a different form of experience, we reacted to oppression in a non-violent way...so dont try to impose what you saw in other countries on India. You would not like the entire population following christianity and speaking english 100yrs down the line. Diversity is the only way that we can solve different problems nature pose to Humanity. I strongly disagree with your idea of Religion, I feel you never knew what religion is. Study Hindu scriptures deeply, dont infer reading the superficial things..every thing a religion teaches is strongly related to Humanity. So friend first know your religion properly and then you can demean religion
