Why blame China!! I am racially abused in India regularly!!!!
by exoticbronze on Sep 17, 2009 10:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Guys, please dont blame the chinese.

In India, I am called names and my culture, my language, my appearance is ridiculed and insulted. When ever I go to North India, I am called ethnic slurs by north Indians. In Delhi I was once told to get out of Delhi and go back to south. When I protested that I am an Indian, one north Indian guy told his friend in hindi....(This south indian is lecturing us. Seems to be a huge patriot. Wait till I give him a kick, see how he forgets his patriotism and learns to keep his mouth shut in Delhi.)

I have been called 'a_su_ra' and 'hab_shi' by my fellow citizens in North India. I have been told that (You south indians are upto no good. Those Pakistanis are way better than you south indians). And this has been my experience in New Delhi and NCR regions....the capital of the Country and surrounding areas!

I have interacted with a Chinese people in my trips abroad to Hong Kong, Silicon Valley, Europe and the Middle East. I have found them to be very hardworking and nice people. The one thing I noticed about all the Chinese people is they never take part in talking ill about others and dont gossip at all. I have received respect and love from the Chinese, and insults from my North Indian brothers.

ARUNACHAL PRADESH....I AM NOT VERY SURE OF THAT TERRORITY .
SOME YEARS BACK....THE CHINESE DEMANDED THAT ARUNACHAL PRADESH WAS CHINESE TERRORITY .THE INDIAN PRIME MINISTER THAT TIME (ATAL BHARI VAJPAIEE) STRAIGHTAWAY DEMANDED THAT MORE THEM HALF OF TIBET WAS INDIAN TERRORITY .
I AM NOT VERY SURE OF THE BOUNDRY ,BUT ONE SHOULD REMEMBER THAT CHINA OCCUPIED A LARGE PART OF INDIA IN 1962 WHEN THE PRIME MINISTER WAS NERU......

Typical leaders from the North
by snpost on Feb 16, 2008 11:10 PM  Permalink

The leaders from the Northern part of India, can be best summed up as being non-decisive, no conviction , scared to tackle any difficult issues, Gandhian approach to every thing (only one tool in their toolbox), and appeasement on every front.

Beijing Bidwai keeps his marxist gob shut on this
by Rajan Shah on Feb 16, 2008 01:00 PM  Permalink

Noticed how quite Beijing Bidwai has been on the Arunachal issue. He seems to lash out the USA all the time, but keeps quite about countries that have attacked India and claimed its land. The same goes for that left wing rag, The Hindu

The Territorial dispute
by ravi prakash on Feb 14, 2008 01:56 PM  Permalink

The Chinese have understood that our country cannot stand up to their bluster and sabre rattling.
We try to pacify them in the hope that the problem will die on its own. This is an error. The claim to territory is a tactic to extract all kinds of concessions and support and used as a tool to put us into a corner.
In 1962, the US and the Soviet Union brought pressure on the Chinese to cease fire, but it left India bereft of a large tract of land. With the US and Russia's intervention we could again claim these territories and more importantly to reverse our thinking on the Tibetan question.India has borne the brunt of the influx from Tibet and yet we find it difficult to tell the Chinese that this was an act of blatant agression on the hapless people of Tibet. The derecognition of the McMohon line by China is the consequence of our recognising Tibet. The Chinese have maintained that McMohon line is a piece of British construction and do not recognise it hence the repeated mischief in Arunachal. We have to now take this issue with the British, the US and Russia and seek a settlement if we are serious.
Else, go on as usual and hope that the problem will go away as prosperity of India and China will make the whole issue of national boundaries irrelevent in time to come.
Are we prepared for it?

Mr. Raghavan was only a bureaucrat and not a decisio maker, so if India got kicked in the butt during 1962 it was bcoz of stupid, naive and coward politicians like Nehru. Please get your facts right b4 posting your "BS" comments.

China knows weakness of Indians
by Sincere Citizen on Feb 13, 2008 01:28 PM  Permalink

Chinese and for that matter many other countries know the weakness of Indian people for power and money. It is this weakness that is used to their advantage and our disadvantage.
While the Indian politicians and govt. have absolutely know idea and strategy on dealing with thie neighbours in matters of border disputes , China seems to be focussed on expanding its territory without any regards to history or anyone else.
Same thing about the Pakistan which brazenly lays claim on Kashmir and anything else they think is easy to usurp.
Same thing with Bangladesh which brazenly sends its poor people across border and our law makers allow it for vote bank reasons.

Instead of blaming the Chinese and Pakistanis and the entire world for our misfortune we should ask why our own leaders and govt. cannot unite and have a common agenda and plans on matters related to homeland security and foreign affairs.
Is party politics and elections so important that we can neglect this country and its security ?
