create more ex service men settlements in arunachal pradesh at least for the ex ary and security forces who retire. that way we will have more security and the local people will also be supportive.if doesnt make another Raj Thackery in arunachal pradesh
let this summer most indians visit the aruncahal pradesh, and avoid money on foreign destination. comon GOI and the state govt boast your economy and prepare for the tourist flood to the state of destination.

This is damn good suggestion. Let Arunachali people who consider themselves very Indian, feel that whole of India is with them. I'll seriously think about taking my family to AP this summer.

Singha, if we train Tibetans to conduct serial blasts in Shanghai and Beijing, then what will be the difference between Terrorists and Indians??? WE INDIANS should develop Arunachal Pradesh and J&K rapidly and make those areas easily accessible by Armed Forces. This will reduce the possibilities of a surprise attack as in 1962.
The Chinese are just waiting to strike us with all their infrastructure buildup and aggressive posturing in our eastern border. We would do wise to build up our reserves and not appease them any more.

Beena, you should have read an article that was published recently in Indian Express. It was inked by some neutral author and no BJP supporter. It stated, even the native Assamese Muslims are feeling threatened due to the Bangladeshi migration now, since they are being given a shelter because of vote-bank politics. How do you expect the center to act according to your views, with such a state of mind?

Mate, they systematically outnumbered and made the Tibetans inferior in their own state. How do you expect them to behave with us at par?
We couldn't face them in the 1962 war. The agony and the desire to have revenge, still lives in the Indian minds. However, one can not afford to always keep living in the bygone era. The terms of conflicts are different in 2008. It's the economic might which will decide the winners and losers. Unfortunately, the Chinese lead us even in that area. One hopes though, the future Indian governments will come to power with decisive majority and will be more action oriented....no weakened coalitions/ governments anymore please!

Uma Either u don't know RSS or are poisioned by the other people. From childhood, I was born in a very peaceful place but attended RSS Shakhas. They never tell Muslims are not Indians. What they tell is Bharat Mata is above all. There is nothing above that.. They acted as second line of defence in various conflicts. RSS cadres manned bridges day/night with Sticks, Swords etc in all vital routes in Rajasthan and other region whenever war broke in earlier days.. Its ideology is good but now its becoming political that is wrong. We are Swayamsewaks, a volunteer in English. We are asked to work for society and it was first time society work concept came in India. Its very prevalent in West if u see in US.
Thus blaming RSS or BJP blindly is not wrong. There are good and bad people in all parities. So judge people on agendas, their motives actions etc.
See Article 370 prevents Indian from settling in Kashmir. Once that is remove lots of Indians can settle there and it will give more claim to Kashmir. Like what China did to Tibet we are not allowing our our citizens in our own country. Congress allowed millions of Bangle illegal migrats in N. East just for vote bank..
BJP gujrat was wrong doing and they were punished for same in last election. So judge people/motives and not parites. Krishna, when 2001 earthquake hit Gujarat, I had several buildings collapsed around my residence in Ahmedabad. No help was forthcoming due to the scale of the carnage that had taken place. Kutch was totally cut-off, while Ahmedabad had many buildings flattened to ground. The first volunteers to reach out at the top of dangerous looking structures - partially collapsed and partially hanging - to rescue out the stranded ones were the Sanghis - RSS workers!

Uma seems to be a hindu name. It is infidiles like you who have let muslims and minority favoring Congress make laughing stocks of majority hindus in India. Our people are not mature and are not intelligent enough to realize that india has 30% muslims( realistically) thanks to Congress. Soon India will become a muslim nation and once that happens secularism will cease to exist. About buying things in China, there shouldnt be anything that you couldnt get it in India, but in China you would probably get it cheaper as they have lower taxes.

Peace will happen when India develops the capability to hit Beijing and Shanghai.
Alliance with US is imperative. Though not at the cost of stiffling our weapons program.
India should proliferate if necessary to Taiwan and Vietnam.

my husband is going to china for 15 days on tuesday...what is famous there? Can you sugeest some things he can get me from there (except for snakes frogs :)??some cosmetics or clothes? anythng special there not found in India?

Although I havent been to China, but I heard its a beautiful and a culturaly rich country. You should go with your husband would be fun. There are better cosmetics & clothes (quality wise) available in India, did'nt know folks like you were so ignorant as to what is available in your own backyard.
China certinaly have some lead based cosmetics which some "dehati" Indians like vanisree consider "a class apart".
