Although I havent been to China, but I heard its a beautiful and a culturaly rich country. You should go with your husband would be fun. About buying things in China, there shouldnt be anything that you couldnt get it in India, but in China you would probably get it cheaper as they have lower taxes. And am sorry about these morons here. I guess they lack some basic manners.
