It is very unfortunate that whiles a large number of devotees from far & wide had gathered round Nina Devil temple on Sunday the 3rd of Aug.2008 followed by a huge crowd of devotees who were in queue on the way to reach temple to worship & offer their prayers to the famous deity of Nina Devil situated in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh-one hundred fifty kms away from Shimla faced serious stampede. It is irony of fate & very unfortunate that someone amongst the crowd whispered abut falling of mountain by slipping stone close to the temple lead to disorderly run & huge rush resulting breakage of a boundary linen resulted to serious stampede leading causalities of about One hundred forty-six people or so & over hundreds pilgrims wounded. Had that mischief monger knowingly or unknowingly not uttered about falling of mountain by slipping stone close to the temple, the crowd would not have been disorderly & mismanaged and won’t have lead to serious castrophy by unprecedented stampede and the day would not have witnessed such huge causalities & large number of devotees wounded! I am shocked by by some of the comments on this board. I am Muslim but I cannot imagine somebody saying "130 less mouths to feed" or that they're poor and nobody is affected by their deaths! First of all all human beings are created equal and second if some happen to be less fortunate and poor you should thank Allah for blessing you with whatever you have. Whenever anybody, Muslim or non-Muslim dies we are supposed to recite a line which translates into "We all came because of God and we all shall return to Him". And that is to make all the living people feel humble and realize that NOBODY is immune or immortal and that the GUY WHO DRIVES A MERCEDES will leave as empty handed as the GUY WHO PULLS THE RICKSHAW! And that is the truth. God does not like anybody's pride or arrogance no matter what they follow and who they are. That. IN fact we are constantly told that the rich amongst us have more explaining to do upon dyeing as we have to answer why we did not feed that dying beggar when we were going out to dine at a five star restaurant. This is a sick mentality that all desis possess.

as far as vedas is concerned they are not indian scriptures...they were brought to india by aryans from central asia.

Scenario 1: 1) You choose your driver... Also have you ever heard of Pilot and co-Pilot? Have you ever heard of space missions where there are many astronauts with different roles to play? - That means we can have different Gods playing different roles in life. But you will not get it. 2) There is no such thing as God X says this and God Y says that... We do not have such things as one God said this and other said opposite. They have different roles and reasons to be there.
3) Be aware that there is a concept of only one God in Hinduism also. But at the same time Hinduism accepts that he can have many forms and can be present and seen/felt in many ways. Hinduism also says that there are many paths, but they lead to only one Supreme God, and again it allows people to see him differently and use different names/means for him.
That is the beauty of Hinduism, it does not force a specific God and his 'messanger' on you. It accepts other believes and honors them.
But you being side-blinded like a donkey or mule will not be able to see other's facts.

The flaw (or point) in ur argument is that everything is questionable or "everything is relative". Scenario 1 is based essential food items available at the different parts of the earth, like grasslands, extreme cold & hot climates, etc... Here the religious rules are modified to suit the existence of life or the accepted fact becomes the religious rule.
Scenario 2 is egoistic clashes, when people in the scenario 1 from different places come face to face with each other. It is here, that the flaws in our thinking is reflected by the bloated ego of the human mind, which simply doesn't understand and the result the spillage of blood.
Your Truth is questionable and as questionable as you question others. Besides, the other most major flaw in our thinking is "There is ONLY ONE GOD" concept. What if mankind didn't exist, do you think GOD would exist?
