A very unfortunate incidence.
by Bishwa NathSingh on Aug 03, 2008 04:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is very unfortunate that whiles a large number of devotees from far & wide had gathered round Naina Devi temple today followed by a huge crowd of devotees who were in queue on the way to reach temple to worship & offer their prayers to the famous deity of Naina Devi situated in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh. It is irony of fate & very unfortunate that someone amongst the crowd whispered abut falling of mountain lead to disorderly run & huge rush resulting breakage of a boundary linen lead to causalities of about eighty people & over hundred pilgrims wounded. Had that mischief monger knowingly or unknowingly not uttered about falling of mountain, the crowd would not have been disorderly & mismanaged and the day would not have witnessed such huge causalities & large number of devotees wounded! The wounded have been shifted to the nearest hospitals where they are being treated. It is very unfortunate & sad incidence that we must condemn it univocally. The District Administration should have taken utmost care to prevent such unfortunate incidence and could have taken care of fully to avoid rush by regulating movement of crowds in orderly manners with the help of both male & female police or social activists Let the State Govt. order for its thorough probe to find out the truth and nab the mischiefmongers!.Let us condole the death of all those who died very untimely and pray to the Almighty God to grant peace to their departed souls in heavenly abode and convey our he

Great ! Instead of feeling sorry for the victims, you go about your Christian propoganda. Be and behave like a human being which is what even your Bible states.

Where is the question of arrogance or national pride here? Where is the corruption in these deaths? Not a word of sympathy for the victims and you go on ranting about irrelevant things. This is not the forum for your anti-Hindu prejudicies. Difficult to believe that such disgusting people exist.

Varghese..Do you want to have organized mad cows like Jihadis, in the name of religion. Hindu religion is way of life, which preaches mutual love and tolerance. You mean to say,you are well organised , because you go to church on every sunday? Religion is for self belief, harmony and peace. Hinduism is much better in that aspect than Christianity and Islam. Don't spill hatred for other religion here. You are not the guy, imported from London. Your forefathers converted into Chritianity, may for money or may be because some idiotic hindus followed untouchability on your caste.Get the point right !

Exactly....In Kashmir too, Pandits because of their disorganization and their run helter-skelter attitude they fell into the trap of the corrupt politicians who lured them by saying if you go there we will provide you with free accomodation, good schools etc and they just packed and ran to other states before giving those militants with a good fight..At that time a lot of Kashmiri muslims were also on their side. Later when the same thing happened to sikhs in Kashmir, they immediately got together and hence never left the place nor any more atrocities were committed on them..

No one can escape death in this world, be rationalist or believer. If people pray to God to make them live more than their destiny is written, then it is foolishness. Such people need not call themselves as believers.

gods have never saved anyone by physically airlifting anyone from trouble.

besides, let these hapless folks believe in something to lighten their burden. if everyone where atheists thet'd fall prey to some other rumour based movement or something else where someone would profess to give infinite power or happiness.

this was the conclusion of a group studying on atheists and believers - conclusion atheists forming a group are equally dangerous or frivolous as believers of some sect or deity or saint!

U hv little knowledge of theology and human devotion. It is faith which motivates people. A terrorist suicide bomber kills himself because he has faith that he will get Jannat if he sacrifices himself. U decide for yourself whether such actions r right or wrong.

This can happen anywhere
by venkat on Aug 03, 2008 04:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I see many people asking religious places to be shut down to prevent this happen. I just could not stop laughing at their ignorance.
Boss, This can happen anywhere. What about places where people crowd on saturday nights and at malls and at cinema theatres. Railings or anything could collapse there at any point of time. If shooting of some big star is done, how many people group and make a crowd? So, you ask cinemas to be not taken?

What was missing is proper regularisation of crowds. The blame should be on Govt agencies and not on religious places.

Lessons not learnt
by Shiv Almal on Aug 03, 2008 04:41 PM  Permalink

No lessons were learnt by devotees and authorities from stampedes for several reasons at several places. Why devotees used to go on parva days knowing the crowd. I was caught in stampede on overbridge at Patna railway station. Many trains arrived at a time due to track blast. No one was to know, care and save the crowd.

This happens only in India
by Vivek Sharma on Aug 03, 2008 04:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is really pathetic to hear people die in stampede. This is not first incident, this happens everywhere in India.

The devotees should understand that the god is not there where the temples are there, the god is there within you. Therefore do not go to temple to see god, it is within you. Keep your heart clean where the god actually resides and you do not need to go looking for god all around.
In fact I only once went to see the Lord Venkateshwara and I found it very difficult to breath inside the temple. It was so suffocating inside with fumes and smokes emanting from the pyre and incense sticks and I really wondered how people regularly visit these places.
We humen are not flock of cattles to rush enmass into a small place and meet the Emaraj. Understand friends.
I can only pay respect to those who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident. May god bless them and let their soul live in peace.

Hi friend! It is not stop earning for not to pay income tax. Why going to a place where what you are looking for not there?. Why going to a place where you cannot clean youself?. Why going to a place where you get cheated yourself?.
Instead of believing a lifeless god, why don't you believe in yourself?. At least you can achieve a 10% if not 100%. Gods all bullshits. It is only you and me are true.
