D.Goel Panchkula ,morning 7AM April 18th 2008 me an old teacher of 74 yrs ,feels ashamed that our old and proud tradition has lost its valiant traditions of never say submit by the mighty freedom Fighters down the corridors of last 5 thousand yrs.Men Like Piru who fought Alexander in 320BC or Guru Govind Singh ji who sacrificed his revered father and sons and himself to the protect the timid Brahmins from Kashmir! Was it not the valiant lady Chabili who strapped her son Damodar to hetr wwaist and rode to death against Gen Hugh Rose on the outskirts of Jhansi against Firanfi slavery... If Tibetans are trampled ,Mansarovar is run over Arunachal Pradesh is not defended, we are waiting for another end of India soon like of one that led to obliteration of Indian liberty in 13th century when Turkish Vandals burnt MSS and Universities of Naland and Vikramshila . But being an optimist my india cannot die.Tomorrow younger and more valiant children would spring up and redeem the cowardice and fallenness of our consumer oriented current middle-classes who will pride in Guru Tegh Bahadur And Tippu Sultan or Tantia Tope and Chabili....I do not know if i shall live to see that day but i can assure Sheila Bhatta that India has spiritual resources to emerge like Phoenix from the ashes of our Cowardly Fallenness...D. wake up to the 21st century ... the world order has changed ... it is no longer alexander and porus, guru gobind singh or whatever other names you have ... times are changing and the change commands that we change as times change
the policy of confrontation is replaced by diplomacy, choosing you battles and choosing your sides, not for your immediate gain but for what's the overall gain ... you lose some to win some
right now, it was a smart thing to not make an enemy in china. besides we must respect the fact that china has every right to protect its territorial integrity and supress separatist movement and we have no right to encourage or support separatist movement in china ... when we compalin about pakistan doing the same in kashmir.

I agree India has all the capabilities. But it has mis governance most of the time. That how the met with defeat at the hands of China. The war did not all of sudden. There were many moths and years in advance. But mis governance led to the defeat. We had capacity to resist at that time itself.

it is easy to blame the govt. for mis-governance .... like you blame them and yr responsibility is over ... as if you are better than the present govt. in governing the country.
the leaders that we have are democratically elected!

For India got defeated by CHina, the History already blames the mis governance. You are talking as if you were part of the mis govermnance. Why can not I lead. How can you prejudice. Many leaders in the world were /are from common community. Not decending to earth with grants (Grants also meant other ways-curreption / cheating dull heads?)

Hmmm with due respect to Indian Army, Tibet is more easily accessible from China. Even if we make early military in roads, its not feasible to hold positions. This adventure will be nothing less than a Kargil mis-adventure Pakis did.
Its wise to keep looking at the larger perspective. So the stands by India is correct that they do recognize Tibet as autonomous region inside China. At the same time we need not go on an overkill as there is no history of religious terrorism ever shown by Tibet protestors.
The Tibetans still are holding their nerve and I would appreciate them for that. Please do not go on the path of extremism. This has never succeeded.
Hey guys %u2026%u2026what%u2019s wrong with you all%u2026..did all that Tibetans assured Indian government that there will no any violence%u2026.no%u2026.and if even a small incident will give a chance to western media to spoil India%u2019s image regarding security measures of Olympic torch. We Indian have nothing to do with problems of Tibet and china . we already have many problems in India. India%u2019s priority is to protect Olympic torch.
People from Tibet have no right in India to express their feeling against china. Suppose in future people from any country will come to India and start protesting and expressing their feelings%u2026%u2026will we allow%u2026????? Its matter of our security and prestige. Olympic torch was India%u2019s responsibility when it was in India%u2026it has nothing to do with china-Tibet issue. What ever Indian government did was right for security reasons it doesn%u2019t mean that china is detecting India. India and China both are future super power. Don%u2019t be misguided by western media. They don%u2019t want Asian country to grow up. Understand it.

You came out to be very intelligent, most of us are foolish. How in the Tibe is not an Indian problem ? First we share border with Tibet, not China. Second because India said Tibet is part of China, China say AP is part of China. Third, Water coming from Tibet to whole of North India are now being diverted to Beijing, in few years Bahmaputra, satluj, indus will go dry.Ganga will not longer be ganga.Fourth, India has no friendly neighbour . Man , cultivate Tibetans. they are going to save India in the long run. Don't be fooled by commies.

In a "democratic" country everyone has a right to voice their opinion and not just Indians. The Tibetans have always been a peaceful community and never caused any problems.

We can't have problems with Tibet as our first prime minister surrendered to China on this issue. We have problems with Chinese claim on Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and their covert support to ULFA and communists in India. We have problems with China providing arms and nuclear technology to Pakistan for use against India. We have problems with Chinese diverting a lifeline in Bhramaputra river being diverted to China and flooded to India if there is excess water. We have problems with Chinese intepreting the Indo-US CIVILIAN nuclear agreement and comparing that with their covert nuclear arms technology transfer to Pakistan. We don't care about this torch.....which is more a money making business than anything to do with sports. China and India will ofcourse be superpower...but not together. One at the expense of the other. Hint: Thanks largely to one-child policy, China is sitting on a aging population.

thats right... brainless stupid people only laugh for indias action. What india did is correct. If india have to support Tibet then its mean india can allow pak to support kashmir issue.
We have to solve our problems first then grow with developed and developing country....we cant fight with china ..we can only grow with china...

There is a major difference. The Pak ISI are army are promoting terrorism in Kashmir India and fuelling insurgency. If they stop things will get normal. Can you see the difference?? Tibetans are fighting/protesting on their own, yes they have moral support but nothing else.

correction, we "shud" not fight with china, grow with china. u cannot gain anything with nuclear wars. but shud have the guts to give proper reply to any unauthorized intrusion into India.
Yeh Aswamegh yagya ka godha jo chin ne chhod rakha hai .. isko kaun rokega? Ram ka godha luv kush ne roka tha... so wee need luv kush to stope Chinies godha (olympic torch)... yeh aswamegh yagya ko safal hone se roka jaye.....

"India Sees RED " - Are you referring to the medals table at the Beijing Olympics ? Gold = 0 Silver = 0 Bronze = 0
It is sad to see that an event like Olympics which is supposed to bring unity and peace is discussed for other reasons than sports. But, then what can one expect when such a prestigious event is being hosted by a country like China who is known more for supplying cheap AK 47's to rebels in India and other parts of the world like Sudan. Chinese army directly kill innocent Tibetans but they also indirectly kill others too. The Olympic torch this time round signifies Chinese brutal power and aggressive policies and nothing else.

Well, even in Pakistan many say that innocent Kashmiris are killed by Indian military. Who is an innocent is a big question? Are terrorists in Kashmir are innocent? Well, Tibetians monks are not innocent, but offlate they are taking the route similar to militants by disturbing the general life in countries are residing. Whether it is UK or France or India, Tibetians have no right to disturb peace. On top of it our media, has another news items to say that no one is cheering up because of security. If there is no security and if there is violence, I am sure media will cheer up giving latest breaking news. If somebody comes to your home for protection, you will protect him. If he creates disturbance at your home, you only have to throw him out to maintain peace in your home. India did the right thing by providing security to torch and if doesnt cheer up many, so be it.

Partha Choudhary....Hinduism is the best religion. Buddhism is next best. Christianity and islam are not religions, but are evil cults in the disguise of religions. They are more like mafias who pretend to believe in religions.
