As a brahmin, born in India having made my way to US after clearing all the hurdles of reservation I had mixed feelings today. I was sworn in as US citizen and lost my Indian citizenship. I was happy to become citizen of US but at the same time was sad about losing Indian citizenship. After reading this news I am no more sad. I am glad I became US citizen. In India, Brahmins have become whipping boys for all. If you look all the atrocities on Dalits are committed by OBCs! not brahmins. Brahmins have been marginalized for long. There is no reason why a brahmin should love India anymore. India is no longer a country that wants them or treats them justly. All Brahmins should make an effort to immigrate to Canada,US, Australia etc. This is new era of persecution in India. Brahmins should not join the army nor salute tiranga or sing national anthem anymore. India is not for them and will never be anymore. They are new "untouchables" of India. Get out of India NOW, if you can before Arjun's and Paswans take whatever is left from you in the name of social justice.

caste was not invented by politicians, stop diverting the topic. caste based reservation is the best answer to caste based oppression. justice albeit delayed should be welcomed by all including the perpetrators of the crime!

Imagine all Brahmins have been expelled to US/Canada. There is then no oppression in India. Everywhere you go you will have Dalits. Imagine how fun it would be for you when you see someone like mayawati doiing Kajra-re instead of Aishwarya? Won't it be great to watch Paswan's son instead of Amitabh? Imagine the fun you will have when you will see SC/ST/OBCs/Muslims/Dalits in every sphere of life. Is that now what you want?

Cheap labour??? Do you know we make the 5 % of top us earners. There are many (I mean a lot of americans) who earn less than us. I became a US citizen and brought all my family here. I live with my parents and my sister who is married is also here.

First of all, I don't want to be brave and suffer. That is for losers like you. I am practical. I have just one life to live and I might as well live in country where only criterion of discrimination at work or colleges is merit. Secondly, Why are you calling me coward? As a US citizen, I want all brahmins to be brought here by way of immigration. This way SC/ST and OBCs can have all the seats, resources and jobs they want in India! Brahmins will come to US and will have to compete here in US. If all of us brahmins leave, shouldn't it be good for SC/ST/OBCs? Imagine all collectors, IPS, policy makers are dalit. There is no Brahmin in India anymore so no one will oppress you. You can then lead the country anyway you want. You will have best leaders like Mayawati, Paswans, etc. So why are you calling me coward? You should be encouraging "cowards" like me to immigrate.

If this is true they can make all the noise they want. US is different from India in this respect. It won't give a damn. There is only one reason for hiring someone in US. Merit and only merit for the salary being paid. My boss didn't give a damn if I was a Brahmin when he hired me. He gives no damn when my performance is appraised. All he cares is if I deliver or not.

And that is exactly I want to happen Mr Gopal. I want all of India for SC/ST/OBCs. If I had my way I will have all Brahmins moved to US/Canada. There is plenty of vacant land here like in state of Montana, Wyoming. I want these oppressors out of India in US where I want them to work hard and compete. While SC/ST/OBCs can have it all in India. I guess you are getting mad at my suggestion because you know what will happen then. Fast forward 30 years,The state of Montana or Wyoming will become big economies and India will become toilet because you will ruled by paswans!

Remember, we taught the Vedas, and we also taught the Kshatriyas how to FIGHT. We can pick up the challenge thrown at us to fight, and boy, when we pick up the challenge, start PRAYING, because only Lord Krishna can protect you from your adharma karmas.
Indian society deperately needs compassion, equality and representation of the common citizens in all walks of life. At the same time, the decision to exclude the creamly layer is excellent since only the truly deserving people should be give a chance and people who are already well off should be asked to compete with the rest. Now we are going to see a game where both the Mulayam/Lalu/Mayawati/Karunanidhi and the RSS walas oppose this decision. Mualayam/Lalu/Mayawati/Karunanidhi with their crooked agenda will want the inclusion of the creamy layer and RSS walas having zero compassion for fellow citizens and filled with racist hatred will oppose it as well.
if the politicians think that for an inclusive growth obc or for that matter reservation is necessary,i have a point to say....when politicians are the whole and sole of country why not we prefer to have a resevation criteria for election.(its also an institution). i think this must be entertained as a PIL (public interest litigation).But what can we do who will hear the PIL...uh,we lost faith in judiciary today...i wanted to be a lawyer but today i say i definitely wanna be a lawyer so that i do not loose cases which is of national integrity.....who on earth will educate people who have born with a caste and want to remain under that tag as if it was their birth right. ...hey remember this one more fundamental right which shud be added in our constitution.. ...birth right (includes ur caste)...nice idea ...no?

This is really bad and its a shameful act of how dirty politics can be. Few people are just playing with the sentiments of different communities. If you want a person to rise, why there is a need for giving quota, give him free education, facilities. The reservation will only lead to more and more brain drain. This is definately going to create a rift in the society.
