Recently I read the statement of L K Advani asking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to have information of NRI Indians affected of the fire in San Diego,California. This crook,when was the Home Minister and the LeT terrorists killed 85 Amarnath Yatris in 2001 did not even go to parliment to make statement over it.He did not even go to J&K to visit the carnage place and review the situation or visit the wounded in Hospital. Actually most of the "Hindutva" crowd is in Europe or USA. Europe and the USA actually have more freedom of speech than India. I think it is a reaction to western culture that causes people to be strong proponents of Hindutva. Western culture is too dominant and all encompassing. A lot of this Hindutva crowd are people that are afraid that their children will become too western. Creating hatred is one way to control the kids I guess. This is an opinion not a fact. No offense to anybody.

It is not the converted christian or the muslim or sikh who hates hindus. It is the bramin who hates every non bramin hindu and divides the country all the time.
There is no need to blindly follow the hatred that you have been indoctrinated with. Anyone can be a Brahmin, it is based on ones virtues and not by birth -- even you can be one, as an all respecting and non-biased human.

So don't hate. If you are from India, chances are your forefathers were all Hindus, the conversion could have been at the point of a sword or allurement, or some genuine grievance but let that grievance not be transformed into mindless hate. Brahmin is by birth not by choice as you say. Even if it is, one should not have to change ones lifestyle to be treated the same as other beleivers. My point is that all Hindus should be treated the same regardless of whether they follow the Brahmin way of life or not. I disagree with Dalit Panther on the Brahmin issue. Brahmins may have been responsible for the caste system but currently Brahmins are the most progressive of all Hindu castes. He should not forget that Kerela and Bengal are progressive because of Brahmins. Nowadays, the business castes run the show not Brahmins. They have a lot to gain by creating the "Hindutva" concept and dominating the religion.

Rajeev, Why do you say we are all "hindus". India is a land of multiple religions. The point of religion is to inculcate brotherhood and promote Humanity. You do agree that we have sucker politicians and a screwed up country with a billion people. Let's work toward improving things rather then fight about religion. This fight only brings blood shed, nothing else. My dream is for a prosperous India where religion is a personal affair. The real enemies of India are the politicians and not the missionaries.
I have had a lot of friends from all faiths and religions.
I studied in hostel and we all friends have been very close irrespective of caste or creed. I have seen that a majority of people who create these communal problems are as few of my friends have written here are only by politicians who wants votes and power and money. I feel that among the educated people this divide is far less. I have a muslim friend next to me while I write this. It is just sad that we have reached such a state of affairs. But luckily we are not that worse off like Pakistan or other radicalised country.
The best solution is education. I am sure you all can see that the communal hatred has indeed reduced in the las 50 years and this is due to education. Man must be busy enough so that these silly thoughts does not enter his brains

Completely agree with you. Almost all english media is not only Anti-Hindu but same time pro-christian. These English educated journalist do not have any regard/faith in Hinduism their name is just Hindu name like Raj Sekhar Reddy, by looking his name no body can tell that he Christian.
And there is strong reason behind these Educated English journalist is that start from the beginning in the Missionaries control school they teach against Hinduism. And we Hindus do not even try to read or teach our scriptures to children. Ultimately the young (passed from Missionaries control school) hate or have no respect for Hinduism.

Ive noticed that in Gujjus in USA. Nothing wrong with that. It is just convenient for other people to pronounce the name I guess. Does Rajsekhar Reddy have to take permission from somebody to have his name. Is there a "Hindutva" naming committee that I dont know of. Is there something in the Indian constitution that states that only certain people should have the name "Rajsekhar Ressy" and not others. I guess I am wilfully ignorant.

The "Terrorist Muslim" did not get a fair trial. The evidence against him that enatils and death sentence is very flimsy. He is in jail where he needs to be. He does not however deserve to die. A man like Abdul Kalam who is for the death sentence did not sign off on it. Neither did Pratibha Patil. That should tell you something. Kalam is no congressman. India is a fair country where people cannot be railroaded to the gallows. You should be proud of that.
