It is foolish to expect any reasonable decision from our political rulers. Invitation for talks actually means that the government will accept their demands and formally ask them to withdraw their stir. And the show will thus go on.
So far, implementation of guidelines has been forced upon the government with the initiatives of the Judiciary. Pollution control and CNG, city plans and demolitions are recent issues that have been taken up by the courts. But the government and government babus have learnt little. They still live in a world of corruption and malpractises, and have scant respect for the development of our country. They all want rights , and are silent towards their duties.
I think the government should give 100% reservation to Brahmins...they are getting all jittery and jealous that their domination will come to an end. That will be a bit let down of their great guru Manu and they will never let them happen. They'll even incite violence and watch fun from the bylanes to achieve their objectives.

People like Mayawati and her blind followers like Gopal Krishna will keep drumming MANUWAD. As they have no plans for Future stability of India. They live Brahmin GHOST.
On other side they say Brahmin's are minority but still believe all that is being done is by Brahmins. Gujjars are plundering national economy >> Meena are pitching in >> Blame Brahmins ??? What a logic.
Some follish CM is quotedas saying that he will make Brahmin clean the toilets of SC/ST's >> As if it will uplift the SC/ST.
Gopal Krishna come out of this mentality and think of future sustainable growth based on Merit. Do you know the term Boston Brahmin ( It is not a dirty word in US) But people like you enjoy Brahmin bashing as you have no constructive plans. Come out of this HITLER like mentality.

I m sure u were taught lessons of manu by Ms Mayawati & Kanshiram. It is better for you to study yourself about Manu. If Mr. Ambedkar can rise to very respectful position with reservation why not others?

Dude can you explain how are bramhins connected to this voilence? OBCs and other cast the main perpetrator of castism now. Bramhins never had any kind of dominence (how may bramhin kings were there? How many Zamindars (land owners)). Going after bramhins is just 'Barking up the wrong tree'!!!!

Here is a bit of background on this matter
Law wise -- the Gujjars are OBC. But they find it difficult to compete with Yadavs, so they are fighting to be classified as SC/STs. The Meena (the community to which the police officers accused of violence belong to) are SC/STs and do not want the Gujjars to compete against them.
But here is the interesting part -- traditionally, NONE of the castes involved have suffered due to Casteism. They have all been tremendously powerful within society at various times. The Gujjars and the Meena both belong to the Kshatriya Varna have actually been Rulers.
Unfortunately, because of reservations, even the thought of fair competition and selection by merit has died (since it is easier to change the law use reservations to get ahead instead of working hard or by being better qualified).
A society without meritocracy naturally tends towards the use of unfair means. Any surprise that such a society is more violent?
Arjun Sign, Periyar and co knew that the path they were laying was going to produce chasms in the country and would result in an uglier society. And yet the knee jerk reaction to blame Brahmins, who are of the few people who do not rely on reservations and have no interest on whether who remain as OBCs or who becomes SC/STs.

I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely support the politicians for promoting this. Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 30 percent for OBC, SC/ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century. We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal. Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters. There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and politicians (that can really help the country.. ) Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..) Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward... Let's show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let's be proud of being an INDIAN.. Of course the food for politicians should be made by cooks belonging to reserved categories. The cars of politicians should be driven by drivers belonging to reserved categories. Atleast 50% security personnel of politicians must be from reserved categories.
Hi gys! vote again and again for good leaders like Arjun singh in congress.. who is master to divide country cast and communal basis. Cast your Vote again and again for Mulayam & Mayavathi.. they too do the same good job. Cast your vot Lalloo and paswan.. they will take their good part to divide you cast and religion basis. A rich and settled community like the Gujjars, which have had leaders like the Late Rajesh Pilot, and his son the Wharton MBA graduate Sachin Pilot would be Gujjars ST's too.
Economically the Gujjars would be in entirety a Creamy layer caste and community. May be Gujjar leaders need to go to different parts in India to see for themselves what ST or a scheduled tribe infact really means, and who are the people, the class of people who need to ask for a ST status, are faar faar impoverished than the Gujjars.
Gujjars are rich and settled, they do not need ST status. It would be robbing really deserving and poorer ST's like the Meenas of their benifits if richer and wealtheir communities like Gujjars get the ST reservation.
It will start another trend of more and more OBC's agitating and rioting with demand for then to be downgraded as ST's and SC's.
It would then start the LAW of the MOB and not LAW of the LAND.

This is so ridiculous. I think every body on the streets agitating including those women should be put behind bars and dealt firmly. To think that you can disrupt normal life,loot,kill and get rewarded!! This is what indian democracy has come to be!! The founding fathers who started these protests were peaceful. Pathar marna,ghar jalana is not the Indian way to protest. but, people these days do not believe in indian values . they just believe in upper caste bashing.

Yes, Brahmins find ingenious ways of continuing their domination and keeping the caste system alive.
As far as I know the Meenas and Gujjars have significant population. As a result they have strong political clout. I see so many Meenas in IAS, IPS and in judiciary. Why are Meenas and Gujjars even considered as ST? They should be moved out of the reservation quoto altogther. Let the ppor and exploited people avail reservations. People who are already enpowered are availing reservation generation after generation and the people who are truly poor, exploited and in minority (in terms of their population) are not getting a chance to use them. And BTW stop calling Muslims and Sikhs as minority. They are a majortity and their population exceeds that of most caste groups.
